I really love the colours! especially that spaceship on the first page! It reminded me of Homeworld and I got happy.

thanks ARefrigerator, I had to look up Homeworld since I didn't know what it was. But looking at the pictures of Homeworld I see it as a compliment if you compare that with my work

for all you sci-fi lovers. It is funny, I am not a big sci-fi fan but I find it hugely fun to draw this shit

It's strange to read that you're not a big sci-fi fan. I always thought you are from the way you paint. Anyway I really enjoy your studies and stuffs. The skeletons drawing looks good. Perhaps I will see more pencils in here? Up to you though. Let's just keep practising. You're doing great.

Edit: The candle image just loaded, the colours on that one is really good, but the candle itself looks flat compared to the way you render the melted wax and the candelier.

I'm making mess here: Sketchbook .

    Hey witcrack,

There will be a lot more pencil studies in the near future. I have been neglecting them for to long, so I have to pick those up again.

You are correct about the candle looking flat. Also I found out that I have difficulty with placing ellipses in perspective so that is something I should work on. I know the theory and how to do it but now I have to start doing it hehe.

About sci-fi, I don't know. As I said I find it a lot of fun to draw all the sci-fi shapes. I guess my influence is way more from modern architecture than from science fiction. The only sci-fi thing I have ever really seen (besides some wonderful art here on conceptart.org) is star wars I guess and the occasional program on discovery channel. It just never had my full interest but well, I really do like to draw it. Maybe that is a bit odd... I don't know really.

I didn't have the time to draw a lot past 2 days but I progressed a little on the masterstudy I was working on. There will come more soon!

    thanks strangedawn

And another step on this one. Going over an older painting makes me aware of how much my style and skills and way to approach these things have changed in the last few months. I didn't expect the change would be so tremendous. It is as if I am going over a painting of a stranger. Still learning tons right now by doing this so I think I will do a couple more when done with this one.

The pic you are working on is looking good. It is not as tight as the original, but this revived version have a lot more potential. I like the colour atmosphere on this. Keep going you

Hey there, I really enjoyed browsing through your SB. It also looks like we took the same break from this site for a while. Good to see you got back though!
I love your passion for these complicated scenes/compositions. I can imagine great things coming from that (maybe a 3meter by 2 meter canvas with oils? ) After all that is what the big canvases were used for back in the rennaisance and such. These days it isnt so much the case, but who knows, maybe you can breath life into that again? That's just my imagination rolling away though. Just keep doing what you're doing!
Maybe some more traditional work, though. I really like your pencils. I'll subscribe, hope to see more soon!

Hey luckers, I would love to do something like that once, to bad I lack a space to paint on such a big canvas. You are right about the traditional work. I should do more of it or atleast post more of it.

    Anyways, some more random stuff.

    keep up the great art!
