Hi there, I'm trying to find some kind of course or a short program for november. Anything between advanced design, concept art and Video compositing/motiongraphics or beginner's 3D. any suggestion will be most welcomed, even if you know about some university I could just crash in for a few lessons. Thanks ahead, Yotam
Max the Mutt is offering workshops. One of them is MAYA and I think it's for beginners.
Toronto School of art has some traditional courses (life drawing etc). Their prices are fairly reasonable and they have some good profs. OCAD is teaching an illustration course, as well as Rhino and a couple other software 6 week crash courses. Those are a bit expensive admittedly and pretty intro level from what I've seen. I would google other continuing studies programs for the other colleges and universities in the area though those will mostly be a full semester. Another option would be to go to some life drawing sessions and network and/or bartering your way into getting some lessons from an animator.
Personally, I find software is best learned by watching some tutorials and then struggling your way through a project is the way I prefer. I get into a class and get lost and frustrated in about 10 minutes.
You just resuscitated a thread from 2009: I hope OP has found his course by now...
