Great ideas, nice painterly sketches! I'd personally love to see some more definition and clarity in 'focus' areas of some of these. What I mean is all your contrast edges seem to be blurry and undefined. It'd be great if you could clean some of them up.. doesn't have to be sharp everywhere, but a little bit more clarity in some key areas could change the images from fuzzy to awesome.

    Thanks freakmodm, that's very helpful.
Thanks fudgeloaf, they came from improvising, started with silhouette and then put some form in it.

Don't really do big finished pictures at the moment for some reason.
Ok, the 1 one is a commissioned portrait,
2 one is a sketch for university, I did it on A1 paper with graphite.
3 one is a caricature for a bmx shop contest, I won.

This is my school, I took this pic in a cloudy day, I'm not a good photographer, I photoshopped this a little bit, see if you can spot what I changed. See that running man over there? I added that. Naaah, just kidding, he was already there.

Critiques are freaking awesome, it's kinda in a progress still.

haha i love the one of Dexter. I couldn't agree more about it being the best show on earth. Season after season of pure gold. Great sketchbook by the way. I really like loose style to all of your stuff, especially on your characatures, it really brings them to life on the page, and they're very well done. keep it up!

wow heix! i'm really digging that last one of yours I like the grunge feel of your photo, works really well with your paints.
My one small comment would be that the running man actually takes away the effect of being hysterical when there's an alien invasion. He seems to be running normal which clashes with the aspect of "AMAGAAAWD ALIENS!! RUN FOR YOUR LIFE". If that makes any sense (my english is horrible when i try to explain something like this >.<)

But really cool update, looking forward to see more

Thanks Lav, yeah he is rather jogging than running, it's because he was already there, I just didn't bother to take him out.

I think I'm improving with my technique and realism, did some massive studies yesterday, and didnt begin with B&W like I usually do, but with colors. This piece came after. Now i just want to f-in study, but noooo, have to go to school.

Thanks Lav, like Android says about his pics, "order out of chaos" or something, I'd say about my pics, "chaotic order".

These are alternative logo versions for a bmx shop, supposed to be old school rock type of stuff, please give me some feedback, would really help.

I usually dont post studies because I delete them. But it would be nice to see my progress 3 years later.
Reference is taken from deviantart, pretty much perfect place for that.
    Color studies.

Just wanted to share with you my desktop wallpaper, I occasionally add new inspirational stuff, it's great for practicing PS, layer styles, for example. The idea is to add pics and never to take away.

though I have so little time, because of school assignments and other stuff... i always find time to update my sketchbook. The 3. one is done with my blood, I accidently cut my finger and thought that why to waste good red blood that i could do something with. 4. and 5. pics are SB's front and back covers, some inspirational stuff.

Great stuff; your improvement since the 1st page is really impressive. One thing I think you can work on is adding more value definition, especially to the faces. Keep it up man you're doing great.

Cool stuff, like the scribblings of a mad man sometimes though, haha. Great 'feeling' with so much of you work, this kinda, chaotic crazzieness... relaly cool. Dig the textures too, keep it up!

The hand-drawings are sick! creepy cool stuff (and i love the shading)

about the logos a few posts back, if the ellipse is part of the logo then they could be integrated into it a bit better (so they would look like one unit), if not then try to imagine the logo alone on what ever it will end up.. .documents, business cards, signs, labels... think if it would be ok the way it is or would it look unbalanced or out of place? also, id probably like the skull's moahawk a bit better defined... the bottom of the guy looks really sharp, small and detailed while the hair seems rushed and clunky... just what i personally think once i start analyzing it since you wanted some feedback

    Jõudu tööle!
