A caricature of Estonian president, more like a caricature study. Maybe should've not added film grain in ps.

    big limb maniac

About 3 hours of pencil work and some photoshopping with this new character, helped me to realize why I love character design so much.

really nice pencil works on those last 2 updates!
I'm not an expert on charicature myself, but i like the style you went with, it's different. Maybe some parts could be exaggerated a bit more, now it's mainly a realistic rendering of someone's face but then scaled down inside the head. Still funny tho (also reminds me a little bit of "woll smoth" )

    Ivo

A newbie caricature of an Estonian actor Ivo Reinok, caricature is really not my field, but still worth to study.

Thanks Lav, exactly, still learning caricature.

good stuff you've got here. Those last portraits especially.

I suppose no matter what I'm drawing, there will always be some sort of question in my mind about it. A work of art (even cartoon art) is never really finished; it is abandoned.

your portraits are getting really good, nice job. Try and pop a bit more values in your work with shadows/highlights, then i think the one in post 108 would look really bad ass

    Thanks Yor

All of these characters are from an Estonian tv-show called "Hostel rats", (in vocational school) probably the best show here.

I see a lot of variety and effort here. I really like the polished nature studies. I notice you have them on a big board, is that part of some larger project? Also, do more live portraits like in post #19. Try focusing on different things, one time try to get a clear, perfect line. Maybe the next time try for well-defined shadows. Finally, maybe get the proportions and anatomy just right. Eventually you'll be able to combine all of those elements.
Good luck and keep it up. I like what I see.

Thanks Captain Maelstrom, no nothing is from a big project, rather practices, and yes, should do more live portraits, pics.

Just recent sketch, pretty much in Jim Lee's style, mostly pose ,I mean.

na na na na na na na na na na na na na na na na Spiderman.

Mr. Bruce Wayne's regular nightlife, so that no one would recognize him, he talks in a low voice like in Dark Knight. He isn't just regular man you bump into now and then, his pelvis area is a bit lower than normal people have it, that's why his belt seems to be too low, but what can you do, it's a genetic mistake/error, that descend through males.

    Dexter

A new version of Dexter, the best tv-show on earth, in my opinion of course, supposed to be a caricature.
