Very flattered by the study , And very impressed by all the pencil pages. I really enjoyed the pages of hands and the medivial guitar guy, makes me want to whip out the old moleskine haha. Keep it up buddy, and keep working hard!

Yeah bro! good stuff, love the value and line work
the use of the round brush is really showing on the miles sudy try to avoid that "digital" look - make a custom brush, a good brush set isn't hard to find too

Glae: thanks i hope to keep improving and hopefully faster thanks!

Omerta: thanks! next update is here

    Krel: hehe more will come!

Jov: it didnt work perhaps you wrote it down wrong?

    DTP: thanks!

007: true true, i planned to wait to that date but i got impatient and well.. posted earlier

Alex: My rendering weapons are: Jet Black Pencil (for darkest stuff), Ticonderoga HB (for second darkest things), Derwent HB for (somewhat dark things like clothing, ect.. its less "soft" then the Ticonderoga but cant get quite as dark) and a Castell 2h pencil for outlining. 4 pencils in total give or take a few guests. I find that as the best combination.

Eny: thanks man, i wish i could carry those values to other places D: thanks!

Kung: yea he is pretty bad, thanks though and your right i need to study feet, in time though, they arent as important as the face/body/arms/legs which i also have to study.. among everything else.

Jordy: hehe thanks, If im ever visiting Amsterdam remind me about that place i would really like to see it ;P

JHR: thanks! exams are taking allot of time up this week though :/

    Benjie: thanks!

Miles: hehe yea the study inst all that good.. just wanted to figure out what colors used. Just make sure you dont draw the same stuff i did, i dont want to see your studies next to mine haha. thanks!

    VicB: Your welcome!

King: believe it or not.. but im not a master of anatomy Someday though thanks!

Vatsel: yea it was just a color study thanks though! Looking forward to your update in a week or so.

ok so i have been drawing for a year now, i promise i will learn allot more this year then last year! We shall see what my work looks like this time next year it should.. i hope.. be allot better.

Anyway, in between exam studies i did this relatively quick imaginative painting, i'll be first to say it looks allot like d@n's work becuase.. i watched on of his youtube vids and tried to approach a painting the same way. Using around two layers and just being loose. Clearly its awful but i would really appreciate some constructive critiques.

I'm also seriously considering putting my feet into painting people and things instead of just doing anatomy studies i really feel its time i start doing paintings AND anatomy studies both in pencil and photoshop.

    anyway.

Back to studying for tomorrows exams!

EDIT: whoops i must have deleted this stuff.

Cool character. Great to see you tackling digi characters. One very important thing in mind is to first establish your proportions. That way you can just paint and not focus on that. You'll have to fix it later on anyways. I used to be really slow due to me just starting to paint when I only had finished the face. Which results in a really huge timelapse. So yea make sure you got all your lines or blobs down before you start painting. Keep it up.

Nice! Another update! Stuff is just getting better and better. On the lat digital, the left---> arm looks a bit confusing to me.

Hello. Just had a look trough and I must say I envy you your determination. I myself have had ambitions to pull my self together and do nothing but draw draw draw draw. I can always find a lot of other must-do-things keeping me away thou.
Very nice improvement man. I really like your pencil drawings. Keep up !

Your pencil rendering skills are awesome. More of that please!

On the digital painting, hmm I think adding some more saturation in the skin would look nice but what do I know

It worked. I've just been without a computer for awhile. My network card is fried, and it being around holiday season, they're taking forever. I just accepted you, at my friend's.

Looks like you didn't spend much time establishing proportions on that last digi. Doesn't seem like you were applying a whole lot from the studies you did. Colours look pretty nice, though. Maybe some more contrast?

    YES!

And that last piece is just not good bro haha
imo some more imaginary work like that should sort it out, you'll get it in no time really. Since you def know the basics, now its just about applying!

    Yo man,

I really like the first study. Really great values. Guess you could push the feeling of material a bit more by working out the speculars.
See you're kinda having difficulties with the cloth in the second one. Damn that's super hard. You gotta totally think different than flesh. I'd suggest looking at some masters and how the handle cloth. That's what I'm doing atm. It's hard to wrap your head around it.
DanC study looks great you also nailed his brushstrokes sorta. Love the revolver. Guess you could work a bit on your line thickness. Now it's pretty thick everywhere around. Try varying it a bit.
    Awesome update though.

    Wow Krato.
I just went through your whole sketchbook. You sir are kicking ass.
Your improvement is huge, and it's super cool seeing all the hard work and improvement.

I really like your digitals, great rendering in them and your pencils are sweeeeeeeeeet. You need to give me some rendering advice for sure

Just much praise for you. Keep up the hardwork, it's all very inspiring
