Kanye used to be humble and grateful that he beat the odds and was allowed to present his music to such a wide audience. Now he thinks he's the "voice of the generation" and can do whatever the hell he wants to do. His music has gotten less relevant over time and he just can't stand not being in the spotlight. He loves controversy and thinks anyone who thinks of his actions as "stupid" is just another "hater."

I loved him when he came out but now he's such a dick...I can't even listen to him sometimes.

Anyways, I feel sorry for Taylor Swift. She seemed so embarrassed and her moment was completely ruined by that jerk. He didn't even think to care about her feelings.

I also feel kind of bad for Beyonce for him dragging her name into it. I'm sure she didn't appreciate that.

well, he got what he wanted, publicity. Bat or good, does not matter as long as people keep talking.
Nothing a "sorry" press release and some charity work could fix, the publicity will pay off.
Rockstas and actors do that all the time... get caught with drugs, beat the sit out of people, whatever helps you to get a headline.

I'm surprised no one has considered that this might just be a ratings boost stunt.

I dunno. I have a hard time feeling sorry for teenage princesses. Kanye's obviously a jerk, but he keeps me entertained, and that's all I really ask, aside from the tunes of course.

What a dick. This is like the one awhile back when Old Dirty Bastard hi-jacked an award speech at the Grammys, but less funny.

Kanye's just a douche. If this award was about him, then I wouldn't have been surprised. But poor Taylor, she looked like a deer caught in the headlights.
I've gained more respect for Beyonce, 'cause she didn't have to do that. She showed more maturity and class than Kanye ever will.

It's been considered but wouldn't it have been past time once the incident occurred?

I mean once it happened, you're going to watch the part that happened, and not really care about afterward because chances are the main incident was over with.

If it was a stunt, then why did he apologize to Taylor on his website, and says he will apologize to her in person?

    Also:

MTV VJ: "Coming up, we've got the 2009 VMAs! You never know WHAT'S gonna happen at the VMAs! You just know some great performances and unpredictable moments will happen! Of course, everyone remembers when the guy from Rage Against the Machine climbed that thing and interrupted Limp Bizkit! And who can forget the Beastie Boys' Adam Yauch dressed up and claiming George Lucas stole his ideas for Star Wars? Oh man! (fake laugh) What will happen at this year's VMAs?!"

    ::later that night::

Same MTV VJ: "Well, Kanye West unpredictably interrupted Taylor Swift's acceptance speech earlier tonight. That's just rude."

I dont know, MTV's idea of manufactured drama is lowering brunos naked ass on to eminems face. I'm not sure they could think up anything this subtle...

Well yeah, it's NOT happening on MTV during that time. Like I said, the incident was over with, it wasn't like he came up again during the show to apologize.

By the time I found out for instance, it was over with, I wasn't rushing to MTV to watch more. It was like, oh well, let me find out on the NEWS or internet. So it's hard to get a rating if I'm going elsewhere to see what happened.

Now if you want to claim it's a publicity stunt in favor for Kanye ok, though title of "asshole" isn't something you generally want

    Thumbs down

I dont understand why people are butt hurt over this, she got her award, something funny happened in the meanwhile, it got awkward cause shes young and is offended easily, embarrassment got over the crowd.

No one has sense of humor nowadays .

Sadly, as it turns out, human emotions are just not that black and white, things like this and people like him will upset alot of people, maybe because of relative situations in their life, i know it does me, i wouldn't of taken that shit, especially if id just been embarrassed in front of millions of people, and having a music video id worked so hard on rudely shunned.

For those who think Kanye did something retarded, Im sure theres more of you that thinks like that seeing the crowd reaction, so he will probably get the hate he deserve anyway.
I tend to think this whole thing is hilarious, but I dont know Kanyes intentions, if it was to piss her off then its different, but I m pretty sure he dd that just for the lulz

well he got what he wanted... Millions of idiots sitting all day discussing his actions and the next day millions of idiots reading his sorry on his websites giving him millions of traffic hits. weeks later he donates his old shows to hungry kids and then he is the good guy again. It would be funny if at least half of it was real.
