    Hey man!
Sick new stuff. I love the panels. My only suggestion, coming from somebody that is obsessed with comic books, is for you to exagerate. Push emotion, expression, angles, light and shadow, close ups, perspective, etc, to their limits. Also, study from films with good camera work to find new, interesting camera angles and compositions. I feel like your understading for anatomy and other fundamental diciplines are getting strong, now you need to apply them with some strong energy to make an impact

All the best luck! Your work is looking great!

Medusoid - thanks man! yea these are 100% traditional. i used Faber Castell PITT pens (basically brush markers) for the initial designs, and for the FMA piece, i went over the lines with a pen. you should try out those PITT pens, there fun as hell!

Hey Nicky, thanks for stopping by. Wooow, you improved a lot. I´m really impressed by your Slug Dragon image.
I like the variations in your last posts, that you try to draw images, which are not in your "common area". For example the gorilla image, the environments and so on. Hope, u understand, what I mean. And of course all these anatomy studies. (bad englisch...blabla... ) Keep up the good work!!!! cu

Hey nicky, have you ever thought about lightboxing some of your work? You use a LOT of under-drawings and it would be cool to try and remove their focus a little, so its purely about the inkwork and the actual characters. It would be pretty sweet to see some stuff like that!

Just an idea, but keep up the hard work as always.

Marcelloo - thanks alot for dropping by man! im very grateful for the kind comment!! im such a big fan of yours ha!

PHATandy - hmm... never really considered it before. i mean, sometimes i do hide my underdrawings when im drawing digitally, or sometimes i try to make my pen drawings as clean as i can from the start, like on the sketch of the guy in the business suit, and barcode face. but i dont really have access to a lightbox, or have the funds to get one at the moment.

Medusoid - no problem, and thanks for the pm! -made my day!

LtPlissken - thank you man! its not as good as you think though haha, just look at the back of that guy i sketched in markers, on the last update... yikes i gotta study the back muscles more!

    ----------------------

heres just a fairly quick layer of values i threw down on an old, unused comic project. im trying to get it more finished looking.

    -----------------------

ok, so i go back to school in the morning. ugggh. not very excited, because i dont do much drawing or art at all there. so this might be my last update for a while, unfortunately. unless i draw more tonight (probably). anyways, its a pencil sketch of the Red Skull, for the DSG.

EDIT : wow, im retarded. its not 2010 anymore is it?

I like the style of drawing, however I think you could push some value a little more, in the eyes and parts of the nose and mouth, it'll help bring other parts forward. I also noticed the cheek bone are a little uneven, and the little nubs poking out around them are not symmetrical - however you may have intended to do that, but if not

i'm startin school tmrw too ;/

    ...the imperfections make it interesting...

Hahaha, i got better crits on my panels when you posted them here than i did on my own sb. Wild, haha. But really nice work coloring them, i was delighted to see you take it to a different level, also the decision to make the main guy into a zombie completely changed how you think the rest of the story is just from the one page. Killer work again, i really appreciate it, we should do more in the future

Also, cool constant updates, i need to be on top of it like you more often. i really dig those pitt pen sketches, i'll have to snag one for myself , My main critique though at the moment is on Mr.RedSkull. Lookin' good so far, but his uniform bugs me, mainly because i'm a WWI & WWII buff at heart, so i can tell right away you completely winged it. Accuracy definitely counts on something like this, if you really want to sell it to your audience you have to convince them that it's real. I'll never pick up a war comic if the details aren't correct. Remember google is your best friend for things like this, a quick search brings up tons of useful reference. http://cdn2.iofferphoto.com/img/item...-set-c8dfc.jpg and http://www.replicaters.com/ww2%20ger...0tunic%202.jpg may be helpful to you. Just remember that drawing from your head is fine, but research and reference is always better.

Also, maybe toss in some small spot highlights with your eraser on his head and little raised areas to give it a grotesque shiny feeling. just an idea.

Hope this was helpful to you, and i hope your new semester goes well, i just started mine last week as well, ugh! Keep it up sir! You're killing it!

Watching your latest mini comic books, gives me some
great ideas and they motivate me to do some of my
    own in the same style.
Not a good thing to hear, that you will not be posting
    art because of school.

Dope Fiend - yo man, thanks for dropping by, and for the crit! yea i always have a problem finishing my pencils, or bringing them to a more finished level. i appreciate the input!

Deepinonespersona - hahaha thanks man, but thats from a looooong time ago. (are you referring to the sketch on my first page?)

Medusoid - no, i know that, but still... i like messing with other peoples art. haha. im an art renegade!!!!!!!!!!!!

SuperSwank1 - hahaha "Sweet chocolate christ" . thats a new one ha! thanks man, but im probably not the best person to ask about bringing sketches up to a more finished level. (just look back through my sketchbook, 99% of the stuff i start, i dont finish....

AustenFM - thanks for those links man!! very cool. also, about that Red Skull, i admittetly didn use any real ww2 refs, i did use a red skull figurine though, so its their fault!! haha, but thanks again man, im glad you dug the color job! -that guy wasnt a zombie? woops!

LtPlissken - thanks man! -yea its tough to get any drawing done here, so it might be a little while before having anything to post. im gonna try though!

Jasper_ - hey man, thanks abunch!!

    ---------------------------------------------

thanks everyone for all the nice comments and replies! im just replying, because i have some free time between classes. but unfortunately no new updates, as of yet. but im trying to change that in the very near future. so stay tuned. thanks yall.

    =)
Sketching some "crappy" stuff is everytime fun!
As the other artists already mentioned, your anatomy knowledge is really good.
The chef is a great piece!
Keep it up and do more finished pencil studies.

    Greetings, Silwynar

I may have already told you this but if so it still needs to be said again, the progress you've made since the beginning of this SB is unbelievable. I mean I look at that guy reaching into the blood pool and thats close to my skill range and than at this page and you wouldn't be able to know it was the same artist.
You've got some crazy skill getting skills... did I really just say skill get... forget it I cant think of anything better
