    No End In Sight

    Hey everyone.

I was looking for some documentaries to share with my students this weekend and I stumbled upon this really interesting critique of the U.S. occupation of Iraq.

It interviews several high level officials during the early days of the occupation and gives a detailed breakdown of some of the problems they encountered with post-war Iraq. Very interesting watch.

I have here a link to the Chinese website www.youku.com, however I know this site is generally blocked in the U.S. because of the tremendous amount of illegally copied movies that the site hosts, so for non-U.S. residents here is the link (note to all I don't know if this film is a free for all like many documentaries are, or if it was a theatrical release, which one website suggested it might be, so if it is in fact illegal to be posting it here please remove the link provided, thanks.)

    Here's the official website link:

And here's a link to a pbs clip of the video, it's about half an hour long.

    http://www.pbs.org/now/shows/316/index.html

For all you people in the U.S. or other places where youku is blocked the title of the documentary is No End In Sight.

I'd have provided a youtube link but youtube is blocked here in China, and since many of Google Videos videos are hosted from youtube that doesn't help either.

    Enjoy, discuss.

Do you even have to ask if a pirated movie is ok to post?

Yeah. I do. If you had taken a second or two to actually read the post I said I don't know if this is one free for distribution like this one which was freely available for viewing and sharing, like many of the other documentaries and lectures posted on these boards are. I made that note just because of the fact that it's being hosted by youku which makes me question if it's legal or not. If it is not in fact legal to be posting it here, then one of the mods can remove the link, or someone can provide the pertinent information stating its legality or the lack thereof then I'll personally remove it. There is no statement in the Wikipedia entry about box office earnings or any other form of income or profits for the movie so for the time being I'm assuming that it is in fact free to distribute.

    Fuck me you're right.

MY apologies. I didn't see that when I checked out the entry the first time. I'm looking now to find some better information to see if it is in fact free for distribution or not.

After doing a little more looking I haven't found anything that stated explicitly whether or not it's free to distribute, but just to be on the safe side I'll take down the link to the youku video and I have replaced with a trailer link from the official website.
