Icon I only aim to be better | new sb.

    Hi ~

Let's me start off by saying that I'm not aiming to be a concept artist. I'm actually going to school to become a painting teacher. Because of that, you'd figure I should be good at painting.
This is just going to serve as evidence and record of the progress I hope to achieve.

on that note, please, PLEASE comment on things if you have a critique. More often than not, I won't catch my own mistakes :c

with that...I leave you with my quick painting for the day.

I like your rendering, very energetic. But be careful with the head structure and the placement of the features, right now the eyes are a bit weird...

Hey there, I watch you on deviantART. Nice to see you here.

Well the portrait is very nice. I like how your painting strokes are not all going in one direction and are actually giving the face some nice shape. I know it seems silly but people including me have a problem with that. Only thing is that her left eye is drooping a bit low. Actually, I don't know if this is correct, but I would have made more space in between her right eye and her ear so there could be a little bit more face on that side. Her face just seems narrow to me.

Anyways, hope you like it here.

Hey, guys, thanks for the answers and critiques!

I definitely agree with the eyes thing now that i look at it, it's like they're almost too big for her face. and she has practically no chin, haha. Will have to work on anatomy more.
