Your characters have a lot of personality and charm. I'm envious of your life drawing sessions w/Mr. Vilppu Hopefully I'll get the chance to do similar study with him in the near future.

Your 5 hour study page looks quite good.

Thanks for the comments. And yes, if you ever have the chance to study with Glenn Vilppu it's well worth it. I took figure drawing classes taught in his style but it's so much different when you're actually learning from the man himself. The best thing to do for now is get a copy of his drawing manual, which you can purchase through his website, and apply that to your own figure drawing sessions.

Hopefully I'll learn even more as the class progresses.

Last studyis really beautiful. I also like the cowboy sketches, they've got a lot of personality. Try to work them on values, maybe take them further. Keep up the good work man!

Thanks a bunch man! Tonals are fairly new to me, but yeah, I feel working in values will definitely make it pop. Hopefully I'll get it down as time progresses and I get more familiar with the process.

Who woulda guessed this art thing would be so hard? haha.

Can't take full credit for the last study: the girl in the photo was super pretty. haha. Yes, working from reference is cool but that's only when you can't work from life. I'm probably gonna have to do more digital painting studies from photos since I can't make the sunday long pose workshops cause I start a class in couple weeks. Thanks for the words and suggestions. It really means a lot.

Good work in the Vilppu class one. I think some of the bodies look gooey in the middles sometimes... and the cartoon faces sometimes don't match the rendered bodies.

Has Vilppu given you the Vilppu check... list yet? That would be a good one

    Looks like fun.
