Those pings may cause some major hiccups.
New York City:
Down: 8.49 Mpbs
Up: 1.43 Mbps
Ping: 267 ms
Down: 9.76 Mbps
Up: 1.19 Mbps
If I recall correctly the server of Livestream is located in New York City, so I guess that's the one that matters. I think it's Austin, TX (They're broadcasting from there) to NYC and from NYC it goes all around the world.
EDIT I'm gonna PM you. Let's not bore the others with this

My ping to NY is similar to yours (120ms). I guess what would get in the way of the streaming might be the download speed. Do you ever get hiccups?

Do we have to purchase the class the day of?
It sound like we can buy now and do the rest the day of class.
I just wanted a little clarification before I made the purchase.
You can purchase ahead of time, i bought mine the day they announced it
and just remember to attend the day of, or if you can't make it you can watch it on demand for the next 30 days after the class.
The Following User Says Thank You to LuckyDevil For This Useful Post:
This class will be broadcasted from San Francisco (not Austin) so you might want to redo your speed tests based on that info.
Hey, Thanks for the info. It still means an upload to NYC, to the servers of livestream from which we will download right? Or is there a server located in SF as well?

Reason: Being an Idiot
Location/relative time change is a bit of a downer, cursed work is now in the way.
At least there is on demand to make up for it.
so i've never ordered any of the tutorials and content and stuff, but this is pretty can't miss for me.
if you order it and watch it live, can you go back and re-watch it later on if you want? see the techniques over again and take new notes?
i thought i read something like that on one of the other forums.
Just want to make sure I have this right, it's going to start 11am CDT, ie Austin UTC-5 hours and not PDT UTC-7 hours like the Chris Hatala lecture

Aye, I believe all the classes will be up for "on demand" (replay) untill november 7th!
