Hey! welcome to CA
First off it is really nice to see that you are doing self portrait! it is a great way to learn. There is a whole area of CA dedicated to selfportrait, you should check it out if you need some inspiration.
Kind of a credo here on CA is that all should do anatomy studies. Some great anatomy references are books by Bridgeman, Loomis, Vanderpoel, Vilppu, and many more artists.
hmm what more can i say... Oh yea, lifedrawing. Lifedrawing is really a great thing, so look around in you local community and see if there are any classes or sessions available.
Oh and by the way to the pictures you have uploaded are a bit large - maybe try 800x800 or so

Long time since i posted anything whatsoever here in my sketchbook. (bad me) Im working harder with my art now than ever before so i will post more frequently in the future! (as in tomorrow)
Here is a master study I did of John William Waterhouse. This is what i had time to do tonight. I did learn a lot by doing this and it was fun and frustrating

Last week was a hectic one. We moved to another apartment and almost all my time went into packing, moving and unpacking. I drew as much as possible and here are some sketches. I did some value studies and some digital painting sketches.
Since we moved into a new apartment Ill be stuck without internet the next two weeks So until then there won't be to many updates...
Well well more to come
Comments and critiques would be very nice!

Hey there fellow conceptartists!
I figured it was finally time to get this sketchbook moving (for real this time). I want to improve my work, so please give me tips and critiques
What more can I say? Here are studies I have been working on this last week.
I decided to draw everything from the Bridgman book I own, and hopefully learn a lot.
And a photo study done in photoshop

Nice studies, I like your linework. Now repeat them from memory For the Chow entry add some background.

your pencil work is looking fantastic! loving the anatomy studies.
your paintings are looking ok too, but I'd say perhaps do some more copies of work you love to see how it's done. I think yours are lacking a bit of unity of tone and design (of tonal shapes ) which makes them a little uneasy to look at
keep it up!

Its time for an update! (finally) The last month I have not been able to post anything because I was in berlin for about a month and i just recently moved to another city, here in tiny Norway. A week ago I started at an art school and this week has been intense with drawing, drawing, drawing! So now there is no excuse not to post! Updates will be more frequent from now on. Im totally motivated and burning to improve!
Reaping: Hey! I have been studying anatomy on and of for some time, but not really serious until this summer.
Below are some of the stuff i have been doing. This isnt all of it because there is just so much, but you get the picture. There is a digi sketch in here as well that i started a few days ago. See you later guys!

Time for another update. This last week has been crazy, I have done lots of life drawing from a model and lots of other stuff that we are learning at my art school. So far im digging it, just the fact that we can draw from a live model is great! The stuff im posting here is just a fragment of what i have been working on this week, but most of it is on A3 paper and is too big to scan (its mostly just anatomy practice anyway ;D).
Here is some mindpoop, bridgman studies, a little hogarth and a color study from the movie Troy. I have`nt been doing any painting lately so im gonna start pushing the color stuff now as well as all the other stuff.
I feel pumped! See yall later!

good amount of work so far, I agree with what someone said earlier that you should practice the anatomy you learn from memory too! I really like your paintings as well, you have a good understanding of value, and stay very loose with your marks. Keep it up!!

Hey there people!
viki oh: Thanks for styopping by!
Okay.. It has been a while since my last post, but im gonna start posting weekly from now on.
This past week we had lifedrawing all day every day. It was sooo fun! There is basically to much stuff to scan for today. Only the hands took me about 2 hours to scan and photoshop xD 43 pages! haha..
I decided to start doing the 100 theme of the week thing that the people over at the Crimson Daggers are doing so here is from the last week.
These are all my hands and everything was drawn snince last monday until today. I can say that i have learned a hole lot when it comes to drawing hands, and that it was fun!
It took me a crap load of time to scan all these pages haha!
On the bottom is a quick photo study i made a few days ago before school.
Anyhow next update comes in a week!
