    Concepts

Creature concepts that I have done and learned thanks to the help of one of my favorite artists. More to come just don't want to put so much on to fast in one day.

A couple of these are master copies, correct? I have been greatly influenced by Aaron Sims as well. Also, Carlos Huante has a few great books showcasing very volumetric creature designs. (I've been asked to imitate both of these artists in the past for their ability to translate the 3D form so clearly) Best of luck

sorry, they are very derivative of Aaron Sims, the last one is an almost 1:1 copy.
You should mention that and give the artist credit!

    here is the original

its perfectly understandable that youre trying to learn from a person who is a step ahead in matters of skill, thats happening since hundreds of years
but the point is: give reference and credit. imho, a 1:1 copy is not perfectly suited for being posted as "finished art", you know?

hey, sorry to keep spamming your thread

its cool to know youre doing these studies to learn, you obviously understand why you are doing it hehe.
ok, to get this in a vaguely constructive direction, try to consider what other people want to see, what they would value in your personal body of work. you always want to show your best side (Im limiting this all to finished stuff and portfolio) and strongest pieces, not something you copied.
Im sure you know this but wanted to get some quantity too, eh? hehe. I guess I, personally, would take them out and post only YOUR stuff.

    hope that helps
