Some subway-/train-/bus- sketching:
Last edited by Elophant; April 5th, 2011 at 12:58 PM.
A little experiment:
I told some friends of mine to draw a creature in my sketchbook. Afterwards I did a redesign. It was quite a lot of fun.
finally some digital and traditional paintings in oil or some rather old ones on the wall with spraypaint.
One old unfinished oilpainting:
some simple concept designs i did for a little videogame:
a logo design
playin arroud with it a little
And something I did for a short film projekt ... the actual film is probably coming soon.

hey man great updates, one thing i noticed with ur oil painting nude is the width of her leg, i think it may be too thin and its always amazing how one thing can make other things look out of proportion. keep up the good work dude
All your line variation and lost and found contour in your sketches is really nice! I like how developed your characters are! #93(the last frames) and #94 are really good! Your figure has a very good range of value and I like all the visible brush strokes!
It's been some stressfull weeks ... I'll finish my final exams in one month .. after that , my life will be all about art .. that ll be awsome
@Marian Rowling: Thank you very much. Yeah I hope the filmteam will finish the project somewhen. As soon as it is done I will show it to you guys.
@Jesus Food: Yeah I recognized that a little later too. Thanks for the nice words.
@Molly Fish: Thank you very much
@Ricardo Robles: Thanks ^^ Well the stuff on the walls is rather a kinda hobby than an experiment ..but thanks
Here is a bunch of stuff i did the last weeks ... not everything and no sketches this time .. i m too lazy to take photos right now
At first the line art for a new projekt ... This is the concept for the side wall of a bowling alley i will paint. I will colour it somewhen this week and afterwords do the actual work on the wall, which is about 3,5 x 14 meters or something.
Some digitals .. not happy at all
I drew the lines for this painting with closed eyes and colored it afterwards. That was a loot of fun

hey! thanks for dropping by my sb!
nice stuff. really good use of color on the graffitti. I like the logo design as well, very simple but powerful.
I really like that oil painting.
Your digital paintings need a bit more work in my opinion. Mainly in the value and rendering. At the moment they look quite flat.
It seems you wotk with what could be called graffiti right? That,s great! Ive always admired how guys that work with spray and walls manage to get proportion and size to work withkng the picture's idea.
Good luck with your finals and keeo uo the good work!
You bloody bastard !
Weiter so ! Du bist echt auf dem richtigen Weg !
I'm done ... 13 years of school ... finished
What an awesome feeling ... from now on i will have so much time for art!
@Sushy: Thank you very much Yes I think spraypaint is a very flexible medium and i love paintung with it.
Yes because of my "graffiti background" i get commisions like that now and then.
@Voodoo Mama: Thanks that is very kind of you. Yes I know i have to work a lot on it, but from now on i ll have the time to ... so, just wait a little
@Darkthur: You should try it ... it is a HUGE LOT of fun
@Strassenpenner: Danke man ... na dann leg los! Ab jetzt gehts bei mir erst richtig los... Abi inner Tasche, 17 Jahre jung, die ganze Welt vor mir .. die Zukunft wird geil
Well ... and some few artworks i did the last days:
The finished concept .... i will paint the walls of the actual bowling alley in about 2 weeks.
Half of a concept for a new wall design commision ... i will show the whole concept to you guys when it's finished.
I really love your work, particularly the graffiti stuff. Fantastic.
Keep working at it. I get a heap of wall commissions and they pay quite well.
Thanks for the comment! Lot of cool stuff here. I like the bowling alley concept a lot. You've definitely come a long way from the start of this SB! Wish I could offer better advice than to just keep at it.. but i can't, so keep at it.
Awesome stuff dude! Love that first portrait in your last post, the harsh strokes give it a lot of depth. The bowling alley concept is awesome, should be cool to see how it turned out on the actual wall. I'm not a big fan of the Wasabi logo thing; I like the design and font of the one you posted earlier better.
You've progressed amazingly far since the start, being only four pages.
Your colour work is excellent, you really have an eye for it. Loving all the brief colourings, especially that green woman on page 2.
Your spray painting skills are really good, again really nice use of colour and a great eye for shading. You must have a very steady hand. To be honest there's nothing I could say that would help you improve that you're not doing already.
I could go on but this sketchbook is made of great things, can't wait to see more.
Great work, there's lots of improvement from the start to now. Your understanding of light is getting much better. With your studies it would help if you spent more time and thought about the faces in terms of planes, check out loomis for this. If you have the time read loomis' successful drawing. It'll help you a ton with understanding the basics
@StarRot: Thank you very much.
@RyanRyan: Haha ... nice
@isokarhu: Thank you. I will
@JQB: Thanks. Well i like the newer one better. I think the old one looks kinda weird.
@Porg: Wow, thank you. I'll do my best
@Nibras: Thanks for the advice ... i will definately check that!
Two concepts, two bierstadt and one craig mullins study...

great studies and your works have some nice contrast and subtle colors.You might want to fully render one of your evironments?
keep it up!
Obier: Thank you Well atm I'm more into learning about characterdesign, values, colours and stuff like that ... but probably i will to a fully rendered environment this week.
Trying to improve my values....
@Sushy: Thanks a lot
not much to say...
