I got waitlisted, I'm not sure if I'd prefer being rejected and offered another course or if the waitlist is a better choice. I mean, Ringling seems like a great school and I'd like to attend it, but I'm not really sure whether I want to attend CA which was the one I applied to, however it might be easier to swich from CA to another than the other way around.
I really missed the mark on the portfolio, I didn't include any real life, still life or anything like that. I really should have been more attentive to what was asked of me I just discovered it too late.

I got a 3k scholarship, and to be honest I wasn't expecting anything so it came as a nice surprise! With the financial aid info in I can breathe just a little bit easier now, phew.
Also, about them hell hounds, I'm not sure if want. Certainly would keep me motivated to work though.

I got the Triple Crown Larry R. Thompson Scholarship, which actually means a double full ride and consequently they pay me about $45K a year, plus complimentary back massages from Larry himself.
Patience is a virtue, but who wants to be virtuous?
hi im just wondering about living on campus for first year
is the food okayy? since its 19 meals a week mandatory for first year @@"...
also is there public translink around there? hows the residence halls in general?
I used to be bummed about having to get a full meal plan. My freshman year, there was only one option: The cafeteria. Now, meal plan folks have it GOOD. You can use your plan at either Outtakes (the little "convenient store" type place), the Commons (cafeteria style), or the Café (Panera Bread-ish). The Commons admittedly isn't always so great, but the café is consistently delicious. You can get sandwiches, breadbowls with soup, hummus and pita chips, salad... Seriously, it's really, really great. It feels like going off campus to eat.
Residence halls are really, really nice. The building most freshmen live in, North Hall, is our newest building (alongside the Academic center) on campus. Everything is pretty much brand new, and you get private bathrooms to share between 2 sets of roommates.
There is a public transit system--the SCAT bus--but it's not that great. Make friends with someone who has a car when you get here. Or, ride your bike. I've never had a car, and I will be a senior soon. I've always done just fine without it. Not only that, but after freshman year, you'll probably only get off campus to buy groceries. You'll have too much homework for much else!
thanks! hearing that the meals are good makes me happy ;D
