Okey, here's the update for tonight.
Nope, no studies today! But I've actually studied a lot lately. I think I wrote and drew everything Marshall said in the anatomy course haha (not finished yet tho!).

Well, to the point. This is my second and third real attempt at watercolors (the first piece looks almost acrylic though ), and also my first drawn/painted girls ever (no, I'm not gay ). None of them are totally finished yet, especially not the first one. Her knee is fixed now and there's bigger contrast in the painting. But the result in this scan was way better than the later ones, oh well.

Hi Spaggen I love those watercolours! I love the composition and colours on the clown watercolour. It's sort of scary, my friend asked me the other day what I would do if I woke up and found a clown at the end of my bed holding an axe!
Your line work is improving loads too, I can't believe you did those two Bridgeman pages in an hour!
    Keep going man

Thanks for the advice on my sketchbook, i will definitely focus on the anatomy studies.

    Reminds me of a story:
A kid woke up from his sleep and went down to the living room to ask the baby sitter if she could move the Scarry clown Figure in her room, the baby sitter then called the parents and asked if it's OK if she took it out of the child's room, the parents told her to get out of the house right away and call 911, they had no clown figure at their home!
    Real story.
Now those are some good watercolors! they are so tough to handle I am really surprised you got them down so well, you have lots of talent only respect man.

StolenSky - Thanks for the compliments. Haha, maybe that's the clown that will visit you while you're sleeping then. But call yourself lucky, that clown is a girl and girls can't swing axes.

No problems. Glad I could help.

    kingkostas -
Thanks for stopping by. Yea I know I should do more contrast on them, especially on the first one, looks flat. But I don't think I used so much black on the second piece. I wanted the black contour line to make it more "cartoonish".

Danny_K - Haha that's definitely a strange story. And thanks a lot for your kind words.

    You're absolutely right sir!
Tomorrow is Monday, and Monday will be like a new start to me and this sketchbook. From now on I'll update at least 4-5 times/week. And this time I'll not just "try", I'm gonna make it happen!

    EDIT:
Okay, I'll take that back. I'm writing and sketching all the stuff from the Marshall class at the moment, and I don't think it's worth posting it here. They are just really fast and ugly notes with a lot of text. I'll focus on the class untill I'm finished and after that I'll move on to Rubins and Bridgman's books and begin the "real" studying. So the new beginning will be next Monday haha. Not a good week I choosed. First the class (that will be removed soon) and also I'm going to visit my family this weekend and they don't have a scanner. Okey, enough babbling.

Monday 14th of december - The real deal.

    Clowns

Real nice though, are those two from imagination? Reminds me that i have to study drapery AND do some finished pieces as well ._.

Monday is going to be a new start for me as well. This week has been a complete disaster artwise so i have to pull myself together for an awesome new week.

The talk has been talked so let's walk the walk!

chamo - Thanks man. I used references for the poses (althought I changed an arm, a leg etc a bit) and also for some of the clothes. The rest is imagination. Haha yea, I should also study drapery. Never done that (if you don't count these paintings).

Btw, I'll walk the walk with you next Monday instead, haha. I've edited my previous post with the reasons.

Chupacabra - Soon my friend, soon.

Sorry man. Too much stuff going on right now. Can't focus on this at the moment. I'll return sooner or later (maybe with a new sketchbook?)

Good luck with your studies, chamo!

    EDIT:
Expect a new sketchbook from me soon, or maybe I shall say later.

Yes! Now this is what I call using your knowledge to free your imagination.
I've never seen sketches and ideas like these in a long time.
