I guess stranger things have happened for the house of ideas.
also, I doubt this will mean much in the way of team ups anyways. But, I love Pooh-Bear, i love Spidey, and is Kingdom Hearts works, so can this XD

    'Great assets'

"We believe that adding Marvel to Disney's unique portfolio of brands provides significant opportunities for long-term growth and value creation," Disney president and chief executive Robert Iger said.

"We are pleased to bring this talent and these great assets to Disney."

Other Marvel's characters include Captain America, the Fantastic Four and Thor.

"Disney is the perfect home for Marvel's fantastic library of characters given its proven ability to expand content creation and licensing businesses," said Marvel chief executive Ike Perlmutter.

"This is an unparalleled opportunity for Marvel to build upon its vibrant brand and character properties by accessing Disney's tremendous global organization and infrastructure around the world," he added.

It's a corporate press release. It is what it is.

At the moment there's no reason for them to. Unlike the '90s, today's Marvel is well managed and profitable.

Here's hoping that they don't fuck it up because not everything that Disney does is instant gold.

I'm seeing the comic book code of america, only now by teen disney standards. I have a bad feeling that now marvel will now have to put out comics that follow disney standards. this just feels bad now

Oh no... I also have a very bad feeling about this...

Soon we will have Mutant High School Musical, and many of the other awful things Disney come out with today...

Im very curious over the Animated feature side of this deal. Its unexpected, but I haven't got any objections, until given reason.

I like that Danger Room Idea, haha

I sincerely don't know what to think of this... I mean... is Disney really stupid enough to completly change marvel to the point of destroying it's characters and stories?, Is marvel really in such a bad shape that it needs this?

I just heard something interesting on the way to lunch on the radio.

Since Universal studio's here in orlando owns a whole section of it's theme park with the Marvel theme (Hulk, spiderman, and Dr.Doom rides.) Disney would impart own the copyright of those rides and there for own part of universal.

Im getting a bad feeling out of this also

Disney is not going to mess up all the superheroes and make them go on family friendly quests. Marvel will still be doing it's thing.

Yeah agreed , it actually could turn out to be a good thing only as long as Marvel's allowed to function independently and doesn't give up creative control. I doubt Disney will screw with a successful biz model & put out somthing crappy like a Pixar version of X-Men. ,, but then again ..
