Good steady improvement, but you give up too easily on the master studies. Try to figure out where it's wrong and correct it - you'll learn so much from them.

I didn't think it was possible to be called an artist when you have nothing to say. It's like being a writer who publishes individual words as books and expects to be praised for it.

Thanks! Yeah, I'm sure I do that.

I ended up pulling an all nighter and was totally destroyed the next day. So I spent some time scanning some sketches.

U have a pretty good sense for color and mood. Also a ton of personal work besides the studys. I think u are on a good way.

sweet dude, I like the creature designs your doing, I think your weakness at the moment is head/figure anatomy and a wide value range, try to black and white your artwork while working on it to check for values and make sure it reads well, color is not important as good values. cheers!

Danny_K -Thanks! I've been focusing on pushing the values lately.
    Lakai - Thanks man!

    ---

Been too long since I was able to do some painting. Dove into the fanart realm for a while. Going to do a "fav 6" lineup so that's why the backgrounds are white.

    I will probably make more.

Very nice Conny, I really like what you've done with the little creature re-designs.

Thanks a lot both of you!

    -

Ever since I started working on the indie game project, I've fallen more in love with retro looking stuff so I'm trying to get into that more.

So there will be more of this type of art.

I'm currently working on a game with 3 other guys. The game is called Yuko and I will be really busy with it. Right now we're in it's concept phase and there's a lot of stuff that has to be done for it right now. I'm very excited to get into the testing stage and alpha. It's been great to see my characters and creatures come to life. It really has brought me closer to my passion and focused my vision on what I actually want to do with my life.. making games!

Busy but exciting times are ahead!

Oh and I will be able to post more conceptual stuff and such once we hit later alpha

Get-well thing for a friend of mine that has been really, really sick recently.

This was done from a really blurry photo, it's not really followed completely but I guess it still counts as a study.

Dang, dude - I remember seeing your stuff on the Brackenwood forums when we were both just fledglings. Looks like you've left me behind, haha.
Really solid stuff - I dig your colours and forms.

Thank you, Kevin. I've been trying to push my values and also try and try to balance symmetry with asymmetry. I feel like it has helped quite a lot. Still pushin tho

Some sketches from yesterday.. The dude posing made me feel painful since you realize your anatomy problems whenever you do that type of stuff.
