I constantly try to D: I guess I do that cause I think everything I do sucks, lol. Especially when I start getting frustrated with my own ignorance.

1min, first page is a tad longer, like 30 sec more

    Doodles with crayons!

Still life. Damn it's pretty hard when I haven't done them in a while D:

I might be updating with another study today, I don't know yet.
I've been thinking of starting another personal painting so we'll see if I start working on it after doing the sketch.

Oh and by the way, I quit my crappy art job so I can do art that matters to me. Feels really good!

    edit: started my thing
Going to fix the drawing and stuff tomorrow, going to make it more interesting.

Looks like I haven't been here for a long time. You're doing some good progress, though sometimes it's inconsistent. But you're doing good figure drawing (I like these basketball players). Keep going mate!

#391 - I would revisit that skull if I was you, cause
it has great potential. More detailing, and
    increase the lightning reality.

    Posemaniac drawings?
You should scan them instead of taking a photo.
    Either way, very worthy studies.

ltp - it feels like a waste of time to scan scrappy gestures. they are done from photos, always.

Nice line economy on those figure drawings.
As far as the painting is concerned. I have found from personal experience that you need a good sketch as a foundation to get a good painting. I think this is missing from this piece. I would suggest that you focus a lot on getting a good design right. On the bright side, I like the texture and rendering on the skull, and the way you used values, and saturated colors to guide the eye of the viewer to the skull. Keep pushing and have fun!

A waste of time can be sitting on the toilet

LtPlissken - I don't see how posting quality scans of my 1 minute crap gestures would in any way help my art carrier at all. It's not like anyone cares about that stuff anyway, I post them to show my activity. The only time I would scan something is if I actually spent more than 15-20 minutes on it and I liked it.

Lechri - I totally agree with you. I recently started to realize that too, I brought this to finish though because I'm making it a habit to finish my crap even though I don't love it. Going to have to work on my drawings though

ABOBadobgfaobAODGB I don't have much to show. Been moving furniture from a dude that I'll have in mine and my girlfriend's apartment and shit so I haven't had time. BUuUuUut here's a sketch I'm not too sure I'll finish. If I see potential in it tomorrow, then I might.

Hey bro, I hope the move went well for you and your girlfriend. =)

I'm happy that you kept up the figure gestures. I don't really have a crit for you atm, maybe just focus on things which you think would improve your work. =)

    Hi!

I know a few people have mentioned this, but something magical happens to your work when you descend to digital paintings. Structural integrity is somehow revived, and you have a great sense of form.

However, my biggest beef: please don't smudge your pencils! Don't grease em up for goodness sake. It only looks dirty, and flattens your drawing. take the time to shade it out manually, practice smooth shading if that's what you desire to acheive. pleeeease don't smudge.

    Keep on truckin!
