    Exclamation *-A sexy Sketchbook-*

This is my first sketchbook ever on this site. I'm trying to learn realism one step at a time. I do draw cartoon-y type things so I know that can show up when I try to preform realism. But I do hope I learn more by hanging around here more often.

    -SexyPistol[TM]

Try to bring a written character to life. I still need more but I'm happy with it.

A funny idea that I sketched out on Photoshop. The gest is Rorschach, if you know is a bum, and he must smell just awfull! So I thought since he is a kickass vigilante the only way you could get him to shower/bathe would be to tie him up and chuck him into a lake. LOL

i really, really like your straight up graphite sketches. i dunno, there's something more defined about them that's lacking in your digital work. that near profile on the first page just has me happy. :] i also stylistically like the first piece that leads the thread. the simplifications chosen work really well for you. the smoothness of the lines is a huge contrast to the blotchy approach taken to your march 30th update.

    keep it up. ;]

    Dima

This was a character I drew up for a story, I tried to get a feeling of anxiousness and fear.

Nice work! The first piece looks cool. I don't think anybody's going to try to steal your sketchbook pages, you don't really need a watermark. I think you're putting too much detail into your digital paintings, try to use a bigger brush than you think you need and find big, simple shapes.
You siad you're trying to learn realism, so draw more real people. Do you do gesture drawing at all? I think some quick poses from here would be very helpful.

Thanks Vertical! The whole watermark thing is just out of habit. But I'll give the broad simple brush a try sometime. And Thanks for the link, this will really help me out.

Didn't want to do lots of little post so I figured out I could uploaded more than one. First is one is done on PainterX, Second on photoshop--I was messing with brushes as well as working on landscape, and third is sketches from observation. (Drum kit, Johnny, my drummer cleaning his kit, and condiments at a pizza restaurant.)

    Lovely Birthday

A birthday gift for someone who is dear to my heart.

    Better go eat some cupcakes

    -watercolors & Indian ink

(Personally the second shot seems to have the colors correct, I guess next time I should take a shot under direct light )
