There's method in the MADNESS!
Hey fellow CA, starting a new sketchbook. I'm looking to improve on my anatomy, drawing technique and rendering so I'll try to update often and hopefully get some crits and feedback.
09/26/2011 - I've recently given away one of my sketchbook to a dear fried as a parting gift. It was hard to let go but at the same time presented an opportunity to start anew.
05/05/2012 - Lazy, lazy, so lazy. but im not now

Dr.Blindsy: Thanks for dropping in
Pixie Trick: Yeah, got lazy this month, long story short Here's hoping to continue where I left off. A new SB might do it. Great to see so much progress on your end.
Started a sketch this morning to get going again on a new sketchbook. I'll be making an attempt to colour it digitally, perhaps tonight.

Some nice work around here. I especially like the girl with tigers. That piece has a lot of potential, so I'd really like you to take it to a finished illustration. Some of the issues you could solve before doing it are the tigers, which seem a bit small. Also, the chest, waist and pelvis of the girl don't seem to match well. Anyway, good work! keep it up

Pixie Trick: Thanks for the heads up, i also did notice the calf / shin was too short as I was uploading the pinup girl. Slowly working that piece into a composition.
Abrodos: Hey man thanks from the comments and critiq, I will have to address the scaling issue. May have to redraw the female figure after checking my proportions.
Some throwback images from my early concepts.
And some 3D comps

Update on the pinup girl, worked mostly on the chair and a vain attempt on transparency. I've got some ideas for the background, will do some tests first.

Great work so far, your sketches are very good but your pinups are by far the best. Keep up the good work.

Thanks for the comments Pixie and Iced ... I set aside the pin up girl for now. Working on a new set of boards, here is an small excerpt for an independent film project. I'll get some digital art up this weekend (x-fingers)

cl0aked: Thanks for the compliment, I usually draw the storyboards with pen and if I'm feeling lucky, I will ink and use markers. Lately, I'm learning to paint them digitally just not as tight as I'd like it to be.
On an totally unrelated study, I'm looking up some camera projection techniques. Here's one that I recently did as a study test.

Here are some of the steps that it took to create the clip, it took about 2 hours for the entire thing.

Thanks Pixie, I will study it more. It looks great with painterly backgrounds also.
Drew some trees today to train my eyes to see more details. Hopefully the first of many.

Been away for a while .. busy busy times indeed. I accumulated a few sketches along the busy schedule so I though I should post them up.
007-r0b3r7: Thanks for the kind words, I like that flame girl too! The face actually was meant to emulate some of Frank Frazetta's women, and the body of course.
Pixie Trick: Thanks Pixie, without you, my sketchbook would be sooo boring, and dead
3vil: Hiya man, you found my new sketchbook. Thanks for leaving me a comment. Trees are great, that is until winter time.
