Christ, looking back at it I noticed she has an extra long forearm... gotta "amputate" her...
You guys could've told me how crap that part looked I need you all, especially when Ben isn't around

    maeshanne: Thanks! Glad you like

Call0ps: Nipo-Tuga... tens que me explicar essa, eheh. Mas vives em Portugal? É que se sim, temos k ir beber uma 'jeca um dia destes

    kingkostas: Thanks mate!

jeremyg0rd0n: Thanks. Doesn't make him justice though.

Here's some more stuff. The second one I don't know what to call it... was a "sketch" that took ALOT of hours, but I'm not sure if it can be considered a finished piece either. You guys decide and lemme know your thoughs on it.

Looks good mate. I think you can make the first image more clearer, I see a figure at the bottom but its lost in the surroundings. Theres not enough contrast to separate him out and Im not too sure what the gray structure at the top is.
Loving the second one. It just needs some tightening and clarity to some messy strokes to be called finish. Its getting there! Keep it up!

    continua o bom trabalho !

Technically I really like your stuff. I like the last few pieces with the very fast and sketchy strokes. May I ask where you get your brushes from?
Btw thanks for stopping by in my sketchbook!

    Ben: Thanks!
Yeah agreed on the first image. Tried solving the background element issue, but ultimately I think it was the overall composition that wasn't working, so I scrapped the image now
Hope the newer version of the second image meets your expectations

    Call0ps: G'anda maluco, a estudar em Londres Estás a tirar o quê?
    Obrigadão pela força!

Miss Fomm: Thanks, glad you like!

    Eddieee: Thanks man!

zou: Those sort of comments make me feel all warm inside, but have the side effects of making my head grow big!
    Really glad you like it!

dessinateurimpulsif: Thanks! Usually I just scribble some stuff to get rid of the "menacing white paper syndrome"
I try to stop by by everyone's SB's as time allows, so I'll definetly comment more on yours as well

liquidjack: Thanks man, see below for the final result

kingkostas: Thanks mate, glad you like those legs, I find the most important feature on a wom... erm I mean mech

    Stigx92: Thanks!

    Holland: Thanks! Keep stopping by!

Malakuko: Glad you like! Didn't flow anything at all, spent way too many hours on the sketch, mainly trying to get a decent design and composition right.
I've included a rough step by step below, that should give you an idea of how much I "fought" on this one

    Charles Ratteray: Thanks Charles

    Janos: Glad you like!
Most of the brushes I'm using nowadays are the photoshop defaults (tweaked to take advantage of the tablet), but I also use brushes that I've drawn myself and brushes that I've taken from other artists, many times also tweaked to my needs. So basically can't say that I have the brushes from a single source.

    - Been very very busy lately, so not much time to comment on people's sketchbooks, so I ask that don't get mad if I haven't commented lately on your sketchbook. I'll do so as soon as I can.

Below are 2 Speedies (and those were actually fast), and the final version of the yellow mech (its done, fini... I spent so much time on it that I am fed of it Feel free to crit on it anyways, because I'll definetly use the tips on future work )
Also there's a rough image step by step of the mech. Figure its usefull to remind me how much time I spent on the sketch phase. Think its good to spend alot of time in the sketch to get everything right, but on the other hand can't abuse on that, like I did

    C&C always welcome obviously!

thanks for posting those steps !one day i'll learn many things from them

    i already learnt something .

i think you did good when passing time in the sketch many things changed in better. someone told me : the first idea seems to be always cliché, so you need to develop it a lot to avoid cliché (not always of course)

hey, don't know if you thinked about how that thing move, but i thought that it has legs and wheels a bit on top of the end of the leg (or is it simply articulation)
when need the wheels get down and legs up. Is it that ?

Again the amount of motion and chaotic (on first glance) brush strokes really makes these images special. I am going to need to do some fats sketching as well soon!

That mech looks really good David, and the lighting is great. There are some aspects like the lighting in the floor under the robot, that could offer a more clear reflection over the mech parts of the legs. Just details, it looks very good overall.
    One of your best works!

Loving the speedpaints! It's not really an area I know anything about so I can't exactly give any useful C+C other than beautiful work, hope to see more of it soon!!

Also the last mech is great! Your mechanical designs really got flow! Is there something you study for mechs? Keep it up man! Oh, you got p.m.
