    Finally finished

Just finished this piece. Partly inspired by some of the lyrics from the song "spiders" by System of a Down, even though the song is about something completely different from the picture.

    "The storming of poor June,
All the life running through her hair"

    Any feedback is most welcome.

I love this piece, it's totally wierd and awesome! Also, her hair is pure beauty, the way it swirls and all. Great job! ^^

Cool, i like all the eyes in her hair! Great job man!

may i ask your reason why the image is rather dark? Its cool like that, just curious.

My primary monitor is some glossy Samsung Flat screen with glass cover thingy, colors are super vivid but when i view my images on other screens they look to dark and less saturated.

    cheers

really digging the hair and expression of the character. I wish the lighting was a little more intense. It seems a bit yellow, but it definitely works. Very nice job.

This is great. Love the pose and attitude, and the hair.

Here is an updated version with a more distinguishable light source and a few other tweaks.

Randis - I wanted to experiment with a low light environment. In this case a cloudy afternoon with the sun dimly shining through. The yellow greenish tint I added simply for something different.
As for the way it looks on different monitors, I dont know. I'm not really knowledgeable when it comes to compensating images for other screens.

I don't have much in the way to add with critique, but I love this image. It's so unusual.

I love this, its completely awesome The billowing hair is marvellous and I like the way you link the text/song with the picture - your own take on the words

Love the piece, but the hair seems a little blurry to me on the bottom and in the middle...But that just might be me .
