    need to speedpaint more effectively

So I just started posting in a sketchbook on CA yesterday, and here is the situation--I am doing studies with speedpaints, partially because I can't focus on studies for more than half an hour. So I am looking for critique and advice regarding these speedpaints, and speedpainting in general. I want to go back and refine these pieces more, but am hoping to get some advice before I do so

This one seems to be everyone's favorite, although it's the second one I did:

    Here is the first:

And here's one I did today:

Thank you for reading. I'm really hoping to improve, from doing these studies and refining them further; any help and/or advice is greatly appreciated

These are really nice. I like 1, 3 then 2. As far as speed paint advice I think you have to really have the basics down 1st, anatomy, color theory, perspective, before you focus on speed painting. . .otherwise you are just cheeting yourself. In others you have to have more knowlege to effectivly convey info with fewer strokes. . .I believe. Keep it up. I too am learning--trying to get better every week. The funny thing about art is, just as you begin to learn/understand one thing, you realize all the other things need to imporve--sorry got carried away.
