whoa! great updates mate! I really enjoyed the weapons and the first WIP of the COW- character!!! you are doing very well lately!! guess hard work pays off, huh?
can't wait to see the WIP finished!!
love watching your development man - its great to see someone really progress
with your weapon sheets, it might be worth, when your doing these concept sheets, to try out some really wierd shapes and designs, just to see if anything interesting comes out of them - at the moment they seem a little similar to each other with only slight variations... having said that tho, the second sheet of daggers do seem quite dynamic....i dunno, maybe that comment doesnt help too much :p
looking good man
your new chow looks like it could be something special, finish it up good!
Lilou - thanks, you've pushed my sketchbook further to page 6, and helping me realise my goal of a new page within 2 weeks.. 12 days.. new record! cheers
Strybjorn - thanks man! I totaly agree with you about the weapons, the thing is - the guy im doing them for wanted a specific look - so this is kinda the most I could get out of it design-wise and still stay true to his original idea.
aah page 6 .. I cannot finnish my chow, sadly. I've realised my knowledge of anatomy and especially humans -faces and skintones- is too limited. I wont pick up the digital medium for some time now. Instead I'm off to the bookstore in search for a good anatomy book. I'll try to work on my pencil values and then get back to painting.
some quick scribbles.. couldn't sleep last night.
wow there are lots of quality. Your concepts got a really amazing movement sense.. brave colors..
just need to practice more anathomy or take people references, this is my lack too..
my favourite without doubt is the one who shows your avatar, MAGIC! but last things you´re doing are fantastic.
greetings, keep it up
Looking forward to seeing your pencilstudies =)
Noterade just att även du var svensk
Jobba med values, men se till att behålla din dynamiska stil =) Du vill inte tappa den rörelse du har ^^
Keep it up!
yeaaaah!!! did I win something? huh? huh? no? ooooow, ok but you owe me one bro! thats for sure
DAMN YOU!!! those dragons look terrific!! your line work on the pencils are truly one of your strenghts!!! oh you couldn't sleep? why's that?
sad to hear about the Chow... looked very prommissing! but I think I know where you're comming from... best idea does not count if you don't have the skill to realise it properly...sooooo, good to go some steps back and tackle the basics ! *thumbsup*
keep on going and give me the boogie!!
Man Made God - thanks man, digitals won't be gone completeley.. I will do some of those landscapes and stuff.
Ricardo Robles - thanks for the kind words!
MischeviousLittleElf - Thank you!
ReviseTheMethod - Me too haha, tack - har du glömt mig?.. har ju din msn och allt.. lirade på chrom. med dig back in the days.
Lilou - Hey Diana, thank you very much... you win.. .. the.. grand prize of page sixness.. joke look out for a prize haha. I reserve my right to give it to you when ever (probably next year - I'm a lazy bum).
boogie! .. you summed it up pretty well - One step forward, and now, two steps backwards.
Sorry, no updates of value. Just COW scribbles. Will update with some more info and thoughts behind the concept when I've got some more work done.. Oh and ordered a Bridgman book - hopefully arriving by the end of this week
you got some really nice stuff and got good expression within ur concepts.
but every time i saw one of ur images where some sort of light or flame was involved it seemed a little too dull, especially in the earlier concepts. that could even be the style in itself, i could be wrong. but i think u should add a white or a really light tone of wateva color u using at the core of the light source or glow or flame etc. just to emphasize that aspect of the image.
but you r definately more developed than me lol.
keep posting coz i like.
the weapons were awesome also
Check out my SKETCHBOOK ...looking for helpful advice!
Great sketches. Your lines are so loose and wild, creating interesting shapes and creatures, and the way you refine your ideas is cool to watch. I also liked that fiery phoenix-type monster in the previous page. Cool stuff.
hey there mate, I am really impressed by your latest sketches, they are a huge step forward for you in both design and technical aspects. I was sad to see you not being able to finish the Chow, next time maybe? ^^
I actually have nothing to crit this time mate, you spoiled me with the last update, keep at it!
Dannelf - Hey man! nice to see ya. Phoenix isn't geting anywhere at the moment... but I have great plans for it! will re-work it, and put a lot of energy into it.. and then give it as a christmas present to my sister as a huge poster. It's a great symbol, especially after she got over her 3 year depression and survived a suicide attempt... it was a rough period for me. But all is good
motivation.. you guys are my motivation.
gkrit - Thanks alot! I havn't given it a thought until you mentioned it.. it's not a style though.
Chate Noir - Thanks for the kind words!
Mokinzi - Hi, thanks alot more dragons coming up I think.
Buckster - Wow, you're too kind man! it's an honor to recieve such words
Here's some life studies from earlier today (yesterday)
Gryyyymma gesture-studies, och den sista skissen i #159 är helt vild =D
Show us more! =)

Yeah, Perfect symbolism! Great things got worked out then.
To draw is always encouraging when stuff like that is going on! Get out some anger and desperation on the paper.
Just promise to show it when it's done, mate!
Oh, btw the studies look supeeeer!
Smell ya around!
ReviseTheMethod - tackar! .. yup fick dit pm will try to deliver more these coming days..
James Wolf - Thanks! I'll definitely try to bring bring up one more level.. havn't done dragons in months, so still trying to figure out how I used to do them.
Dannelf - thanks man! more studies coming up cheers!
Bridgman studies from 'Contstructive Anatomy' E-Book.. thanks CA for the book.. where has he been all my life? I love the way he draws, and it feels very natural for me.. also some random dragons / monster - not as cool as the earlier ones Heads are too big, will try to change that for later pics.
An hour and a half of studies, an hour of randomness.
Very nice studies and dragons
great work dude, looking good, i can definitly see improvement here, ur getting better then me^^
Great sketches! =)
Just keep working your rhythm - which I'm already liking - and anatomy
I LOOOOOVE anatomy!!!!! It's such a cool thing to practice!!! (not like perspective and such!! yuck) and you do very well my friend!!
I have nothing to critizise, so this time it's just asspatting from me! hmmm...
cant wait for the cool halfnaked women besides your awesome dragons and creatures!! 'hehehe'
soooo, Murli, 'encouraging hug' keep on, this is deffinetly the right thing to do!!
Lakka - thanks!
Lotet - haha thanks man! the only one I'm geting better than is myself
Lilou - I agreee.. anatomy is funny! haha halfnaked woman ? .. why not. Thanks for the encouragement! bye.
Pyroclasm00 - Thank you!

Daaamn! You're working hard, man! =D
Keep those studies up, they're looking splendid!
About the naval battle I would say that the water was starting to look great during step 3 in the painting process, but after that I think that the huge contrast made it look a bit wonky.
Did you use refs? =) Good stuff though!
Keep it up!
Nettle_Mountain - thanks! sent you a pm regarding the books.
ReviseTheMethod - thank you! I can agree with you on the water.. need to lower the contrast a bit.. nope, no ref.
some random stuff.. me and my brother had vikinghead battle, what ever that is. Also some cow sketches.. deadline closing in fast as hell.
I have a cold .. no school or work = some art. hehe, not much though.. been slacking in the sofa all day.
Some concept sketches for the CGsociety challenge: Steampunk - Myths and Legends.
I've chosen to take on a nordic myth regarding a giant dragon called Nidhög living in the underworld. It's constantly gnawing on the roots of Yggdrasil - the tree of life.
