Pixie Trick - Cheers! yeah I've been thinking about the head too, a lot of midtones but not really any definition of form.

Mokinzi - Hey long time since I saw you! thanks, yeah I like the tongue too, could work it in some more. Maybe give it a better flow. Take care!

Hey everyone, keeping it short. Arh I'm slacking a ton. Gave chow a shot and failed, digging the linework concept though so I think I'll step back to that step and re-work it into something not necesarily related to the chow's topic

Messed up the colouring step bigtime.. then again, I had like a few hours to work this so it was a foolish attempt on a 'weekly' activity

Also started sketching on some thumbs for another art-order challenge - Check it out here!
I am thinking of designing a concept for the creature called Shantak ..

    here's a description -

" They were not any birds or bats known elsewhere on earth or in dreamland, for they were larger than elephants and had heads like a horse's. Carter knew that they must be the shantak-birds of ill rumour, and wondered no more what evil guardians and nameless sentinels made men avoid the boreal rock desert.
    H. P. Lovecraft, The Dream-Quest of Unknown Kadath

A shantak is a huge, scaly, birdlike creature with batlike wings, slimy skin, and two strong talons that lives in the Cold Waste of Earth's Dreamlands. Shantaks are sometimes summoned to serve as steeds. They are hunted by the Elder God Nodens and greatly fear nightgaunts."

I think it can turn into something really cool.. given the "horsehead" in the description and the scales and such.. not your everage dragon-looking bird I say.

Oh and I got permanent internet now so I'll try to update more often do forgive me.. take care very one!

Hey there. Nice update. Nice feel on those lines. Harmony in the shapes.
Keep pushing the values, the order goes, drawing, values and then colour. And colour can be left out aswell, and the two others will still do the job.
And values are allabout relations, and to decide on relations you need corner stones (extremes). Your lightest light and oyu darkest dark. They exsist in different amounts, the bigger the darkest dark area is the darker the whole paintings impression will be. And the opposit goes for the lightest light, the bigger you make it the more luminous and strongr the sense of light will be in the painting.

Like the sketches of the new dragon, sounds like you'll have alot of fun with it, good luck.

    Take care.

    - HAHAH .. now now, don't be needy (you know I want you to lick me!!.. *lick lick*)

P E N Ricklund - Thank you a thousand times for breaking that up for me man! I've been reading the Richard Schmid's book on painting and I have to say it's a golden bible of unholy awesomeoness.. it brings tears to my eyes. I'm slowly learning about observing shapes and edges and relationships.. it's so challenging and rewarding at the same time. I've never had this much fun. it is good to see you around. Hope everything is well and that school is enjoyable. Oh and say hi to everyone there from me, hope to meet you soon again

Hey, it's been a while. I don't have internet here at school so haven't been able to update really. Internet decided to disapear a few days after we got it

Nevertheless everything is fine! lack of internet gives me a lot of spare time. Been doing a lot of drawing and painting these days (I've almost filled 2 sketchbooks with work you haven't seen, since school start! FUCK YEAH ) Thought I'd drop some crap..

Dragon concept sketch, having fun, want to render it more, also fooling around with a Kekai Kotaki styled thing

some more concept work on the ArtOrder thing..

    some still lifes

These weeks have been really tough though, been going through a depression so I haven't been able to enjoy art the way I would like to.. Old habits are emerging, things I've neglected to deal with for many years. This time I won't run.. so.. all is good gonna get back on track again before you know it. Do what you love, Love what you do my friends!

Check out my awesome dorm mates! they draw so much.. it's insane. Gotta get back into working again! argh!

Yeah, new post from Mulle! You're becoming a bit of a superstar, aren't you? ...another year or two, who knows what you'll be.

It's good to see you here. Lack of internet seems to be doing some good things for you. There's definitely a truth to that, I'm at my best when the Internet's a good ways off from me. It's a good tool to utilize and you can learn a lot, but the magic happens offline, definitely.

You've gotten so consistent with your work, you should really scan us some of those sketchbooks you've filled up.

Sorry to hear of your recent depressions, hit me up on MSN if there's anything you want to discuss or tear to pieces, I'm always up for that.

    Good to see you again.

Sweet new dragon, love the textures and the skull-like head. It's front legs look a little stiff, it looks like the elbow is a tiny bit too low.

You have a very fun way of doing your concepts. I usually work all in line D: it's kinda boring actually but it's faster for me, although I'd like to do more value stuff or a combination of both maybe..

anyway.. keep doing the life stuff, it's good shit!
(I should do more of that too D; )
