Wacom bamboo - Need serious help

Hi first of this is my first post here, although been looking around for probs 6 months.

My problem is with my new wacom bamboo, Its either got a problem with the pen or tablet.

My pen will select anything eg draw, move, highlight ect when am not even clicking on the tavlet with it, it happens if I hover about 5ml above the tablet.

The pens eraser also does not work

I've already tried alot of things; replaced the nib, read through the entire manual, played with all the settings, tried in a different computer pretty much everything. So this is my last resort hope you guys can help (also I can not send it back)

    Well,

A little bit more information is needed.

What are your computer specs and what OS are you running atm?

Plus, did you download the latest drivers from the wacom site?

    Howdy,

These types of behaviors might occur if you tried to just plug-and-play without following the driver installation procedures.

    Ok more info:

OS is windows vista home premium 64x

was installed fine, and correctly for about 5 days and was working fine untill half way through a drawing it started selecting everything whilst it was in hover mode.

    Updated the drivers also.

Thanks for any and all help.

Ok next question. What software are you using?

As I had the Bamboo for over a year and ran it on Windows Vista x64 Ultimate and had no issues in Photoshop, Artrage or Painter with it.

It's a pretty much straight forward simple tablet really.

Still having the problem, there? If so, have you dropped your pen? I am sorry to say this, but if you did, you have to get a new pen. I have read the same problem as you mentioned and it because the pen was dropped. I have also read how to fix this, but i don't recommend it (tiny circuits horrifies me ). I tried to googled them for you, but i found nothing... sorry, maybe you could find them on your own.

I'm making mess here: Sketchbook .
    also on dA and blogspot
