    OriginalE- Thanks man!
    john -

Some sketches..sometimes i like sketching things...because i like to sketch certain things.

actually just a couple of warm up thingies, its nice to just draw random shit to unwind or before i start owrking on homework and stuff...might take that character somewhere though!

and a portrait from toosday night last tooosday. This is my 4th one; the first 3 arent really worth showing. felt like i learned a lot more from this one anyhow; got another 3 hours to finish it next session

that pmsing doodle is a pretty good likeness.

everything looks gggrrrreat. my only suggestion is to hit environment studies too. whenever you're out drawing people in public, draw their surroundings a bit too. you're clearly going to be a badass character artist, might as well try to put another notch on the ol' bedpost

Ever think about pushing your values a little bit more? I think you could use some really dark accents here and there to give some depth to it all. Just an idea .

    Love the scary characters!

very nice however i dont think the characters really stick out from the background i'm sure you already know this but many artists use the background values to make the desired feature stick out perhaps that would help out your characters. Either way good stuff!

I love the page with the eight portraits. There is something about every one of em that really sets them apart. Nice lineweight as well in your sketches.

    Thumbs up

I'm fuckin impressed ! I jealous of your moleskin stuff...
But I think you need to give your characters some attitude, they all look neutral to me, some of them could be smiling, or angry, or scared, dunno..
I think it would be cool to see some emotions on those faces

    John- hehe yeapp thannks
    cdejong- thanks connor!
mark - thanks man! I agree definitely, reading through this awesome gesture book for class by walt stanchfield and I realise how neutral my characters really are hehe

So I recently had another freelance gig that didnt push through, so here's the work I'd done for it. Im thinking of changing his left fist so its more like the first thumbnail, and im going to be changing the bear as well. Gonna make that bear ROAARRARR.. so i can paint more teeth

Yeah, your figures are really good. I need to learn how to tackle the human form in just a few lines. My figure drawings are very messy still.
