    Girls, Girls, Girls (and process)

This is some personal work I did recently. I thought it would be nice to take a break from all the monsters and spaceships. Actually, girls are my favorite subject matter in general

Hand drawn and rendered in PS using wacom intuos. I really enjoy painting in the chunky, alla-prima style because I dont want to overwhelm the viewer with over rendered edges and detail. I only add high polish and detail to the head or anywhere I want the viewer to look.

For a step by step tutorial on the portrait painting, click hereto see my process in making figurative art.

Hey i liked your last post and appreciate what you're doing, i added you to my favorites. Your girls have great character to them, they're more then just hot asian chicks.

Very nice. Beautiful paint, sweet face.
Only one thing I dont understand - the shadow on the right side - the shape looks like flashlight.

These are good, I think the second is more successful. They both have wonderful colors. The first has great hair, but her features are off. One eye is larger than the other, and they're not lined up symmetrically. Her nose is only a tad too long, but it seems way too long because you made it so narrow. Look at the reference again, and see if her nose isn't a bit wider at the base. Also, recheck the jaw line.

The second one seems more accurate, although I'd define her stomach more - keep the lines soft, but clean it up.
