You have an active imagination, which is awesome. However, it's important to balance your personal preferred style with the same, good-old fashioned stuff like life drawing, figure studies, gesture drawing, etc. Just experiment with shapes...objects, people, and otherwise (lol, if you can think of "otherwise"). You seem to have a good handle on color and value so don't worry too much about that. Good stuff so far.
Here is my sketchbook: http://www.conceptart.org/forums/sho...d.php?t=166026 Check it out, yah?

Hey there lizardman, people expect to see stuff like that in sketchbooks, post anything you draw in your sketchbook, It'll help you see how you've improved and get good feedback from seasoned artists that go here.

Ah, this is for a friend of mine. It's gift art for his upcoming graphic novel, Ryufox Legends. It's the main character who is pretty much an anthropomorphic creature.

Oh if it isn't Lizardman, I'm surprise to see you here pal, I thought you only posted on mfgg. Hopefully you know who I am. Anyway, Please do post your observational sketches, do alot of them, try to do some daily and post them here. So far I've nothing more to say about these sketches other than what I've said on mfgg, however that Jiro of yours is lookin spiffy.

Good start. I agree with other other dudes/dudettes -- practise some figures/poses/heads/hands/anatomy etc.
And watch out for the hairy lines
