thumbz. quick "look and feel" thumbz!
I wanted to quickly establish the difference between good and evil. We decided our work would have an whiff of the orientalist masters.
The good version will be a soul shaman, while the evil version will be a necromancer. More stuff to come !

Some snazzy ref images. Goin' for a sculpted, protector/guardian look for the 'Good Guy'. Definitely a more weathered look. Still exploring ideas at this point. Thumbs are a'coming.
Playing with the idea of having a floating-debris-face character. Explained through advanced magnetics or ferrofluids or some boolshit like dat. you know?

For the EVIL version, I'm thinking of fused, grinding, melting metal crap. Similar attire probably. I'll have costume details of this guy soon. Kinda leaning towards the middle one at the moment.
Meltface has got something going on
Rule #1: Distract the enemy
Moai - Thanks dood.
Nadiamoon - Your devious schemes will not avail you! But poo-moo-moo is definitely my new favorite word for WEEWEE.
Unbreakable - Thankya thanksya thanksto ya thankye thaskna
Matte_Art - Thanks, yo.
Sourgasm - [See massive pile of cream filled donut glory posted above]
Genious_Malignus - thanks.
Ninjerk - Wait til yousee the junk in his trunk/shit is bunk/think of the funk/chicken gunk
Here's the good-guy-man. Still lots of tweaks and style issues, and I'm still messing around with the color palette and shape edges a bit too. Villain-evil-guy-man thumbs & sketches should be up sooner rather than later.

man that is such a great idea! and it looks sweet!
maybe im jumping the shark here but i have 1 small suggestion/ crit
maybe knock down the black outlines for the facial fragments and add some cast shadows from them on his torso?
i think it would look cool kind of like sun coming through foliage in a forest
my 2 bits
sourgasm - I will gaze and fondle and nurse and tend to all the needs two bits could wish for. Also re-uploaded the image, it should be there now.
trevor - Awesome idea, thanks yo! I'm going to try and work that in asap. P.S. your team makes me hungry like wolf.
GriNGO - thanks mayn.
Twitchfinger - Shaman-folk often wear dreamy drapes for peeps to dry their gentle eyes upon. I heard that once as a boy.
So in between freelance work, and school work I managed to sneak this guy in.
He is the evil version of my character. An eeeeeeevil necromancer.....ewwwww!!!
Moai: thank you!
Unbreakable: You're super well drawn......uuuuuuuuhnn.
Nadia: poo-moo-moo...hot..but not as hot as that delicious young chub.. madam i am distracted!!
Trevor: I can't even fathom asking more from you! you boys are like machiiines!!!
I'm not sure if the drapery question is for me, i will go ahead and answer just in case. I didn't use ref for these dudes... At most I had a painting or a picture of the way the material behaves and try to mimic the heaviness or softness of the drapery. But for the actual character illustrations I'll try and get ref and save myself from a nasty headache!
twitchfinger: awh! thanks!...buh i'm helluvascurred of joo guys. non stop action team! HOO HAAA!
secret science: o_O deadline is coming up.....oooOOOOoooOOoooooooOooooOOOOoooo
