In search for images/symbols, know of any?

    hey gang,

im had recently been hording a lot of unique black and white PS brushes and simplistic images (like tribal tattoos or cross walk symbols) to convert them into patten brushes for Painter. so far i had found a~ lot~ of great images for this reason.

so i come to ask this; anyone know of any great sites (or other sources) that has images that are NOT complicated?

i tried ClipArt and... well.. a vast majority of them seem tasteless. just something about them i just dont like. but yeah, dont care if they're colored, i can all ways make them into B&W my self later

and since i have this going, im gonna share 2 sites that i found pretty useful.

Get Simple Images from Selection Portfolios and Nozzles Libraries

    Hi BlueVon,

If you have Painter 11, the Extras can be downloaded from the Corel site and they include simple selections that can be filled with any color you want, or painted however you want. Here's the list of Selection Portfolios:

You might also find images you can use in the Image Hose Nozzles folder.

    1. Choose a Nozzle.

    2. Choose a non-Image-Hose brush variant that uses Dab Type: Circular (a simple brush variant).

    3. Open the Brush Controls' General palette and change the Stroke Type to Hose.

    4. Choose black, or whatever color you want.

    5. Now paint and you'll see the Nozzle shape is painted but it's the color you chose, not the colors in the actual Nozzle image(s).

    Have fun!

Please do not PM me with Painter questions. Instead, post them here where everyone can benefit from them. Thanks!
