The invasion forces are coming in a surprise attack directly from the space to the city of Tokio, in such a incredible speed that make their ships look like comets and faceing what is expected to be a not so safe landing, but a very efective surprice strategy.
The well prepared cientist of Tokio one hundred years ago using their ancient tradicion on the robotic art, created an army of gigantic robots under the bay on an undergraund facility to defend the city. They sleept patienly all this time underwater, but now the alarm has been declared and its time for them to wake up for the first time as Newborns and do what they were made for, smash the enemy!

This was a great contest to be part of. Good luck everyone!!
The first one is the final as i want it to be viewed,
others are different angles of the sculpture..which you kind of need for anything 3D, plus a closer view of the inside of the egg.
This is done in sculpey, and is a dragon who has just hatched out of his egg.
In front of him is a sketchbook with the original drawing that i wanted to sculpt for the contest.
What i was trying to show was a newly hatched dragon looking up at the moment of his creation(the sketch=conception, sort of),
and perhaps realizes that the quick little sketch on a piece of paper is what is responsible for his existence now.

Thank you so much for this fantastic opportunity and brillaint topic for a contest, it lit my brain on fire with ideas, I only wish I had more than 4 days inbetween assignments to devote to something more ambitious than these 2 works.
Very best luck to all, it was a privilege to compete!

This is an adaptation of the Pinocchio story.
Everybody knows the pinocchio story-geppetto was creating a puppet which finally got alive.
In my picture you see pinocchio just waking up in anger because geppetto was trying to paint his nose with pink colour.
thanks to everybody for the support and also thanks to conceptart.org for the great challenge, best luck to all!
done with photoshop cs4 and intuos 3

Words can be used for a lot of things,
to explain yourself, asking questions,
to give comfort to someone.
These are all good things.
However, they also can be used
to manipulate people. Driving
someone mad.Getting complete
control over a person. It becomes
some kind of slave. It loses its
personality and memory.
It only recognises the voice and
appearance of its master.
Fear, pain and darkness
make it a newborn being
without hope/Sin Esperanza.
"What we bring to this world, what we fill it with, it’s every day, minute or second? What shall we leave in the memory of people who surrounds us after we leave? Just words. Words that are contain tremendous power to influence minds and create true or maybe false images of everything that surrounds us. Images of us, sinners or the saints, created by them, reflected in the prism of other people’s eyes.
We are like Tree that grows to the clouds or dies at the ground, in its every root, depending from what we are saying about others and the way we talk to them. Words and words only can be an elixir of eternal life or bring you undying glory or take away everything you have and damn you in ages.
Words are the only thing that shall leave after us and maybe, just maybe, we can leave a part of our soul to those, who will come after us in these words"
Newborn:"The most important"(PLANTS FOR LIFE)
A inspiration of this project results from global warming, advanced technology, and more building which these things cause a little of trees areas. So I have idea to present by drawing into "The most important of trees for the long life."
Awesome work here already! Can't wait to see the rest. It was great to participate.

Title: Birth of a Small Good Deed
This painting is depicting the birth of “One Small Good Deed” surrounded by pure evil and it's power under overwhelming odds. Evil is represented by demon revolving around the bright light with wings “Good Deed” represented in what I believe is a universal symbol for good.
Think of it this way; the demons are regular people doing evil acts and the small bright light is one person doing a small but good deed.
Here is my final entry
So the idea is about a devil, turning into an angel. The birth of an angel. He is confused. He had done a good deed and now his wings are starting to grow. He is about to fall...into an angel. Or maybe he is considering to kill that coming angel by throwing himself...Will he kill the angel or will he kill the devil?
I hope you enjoy it. I had little time so that's what I've come up with.
Best of luck to everyone
Hi everyone, this is mine.
Water colors, pencil, a little touch in photoshop/
I'm still working on this one and hope that soon it'll be better.
I finally finished my entry for this challenge. Initially, my idea was to picture the birth of something evil. Finally, I chose one of the most evil weapons ever, the destructive legion from hell. The legion brought into the world by a magician, who controls them all.
Here's my entry...
*Help a CA artist! Visit the Constructive Critique section! *
"I wanted to bring something into the world, and then make it attack a peaceful futuristic society!!!!"
fluff inspiration: A seething biomass of activity, the concept of a biological machine unforgiving and always changing, a race of creatures constantly evolving to be the better predator in each new environment they encounter.A creature capable of devouring metals that then become its armoured shell, of liquefying organic matter as food for its spawn pods. Each creature has different predatory traits. which makes it an even harder foe to combat, how do you defend against a constantly changing enemy. "Like a turbulent wind they swept our world."
I managed to get three pieces in.
A Phoenix Chic
A S.T.O.R.Ktm with Womb.tm
and a Hatching Maralinga Spider Wasp
(which proved difficult to photograph)
Some amazing pieces here people.
Well done all
Please check out today's character.
My two entries:
#1. Birth of a scout
#2. Spawn of a dragon
What amazing things are created! nice!
