Photoshop wan't nice to me today so I did some quick face sketches. The other two are a little older but I figured I would post them anyway.

Some more quick studies. I am having a lot of fun with these and I feel I am learning a lot about anatomy and the human form.

I am planning on adding some value and hopefully color to these last two characters.

I am starting to get discouraged about my horrible painting skills. I watch Jason Chan and other painting pros (Mr. Delicious and Randis) and they make it seem so easy! A lot of their strokes seem so quick and random but they turn out beautiful. I am working on this everyday and I am not seeing myself progress in the painting department. The only way I can get a decent coloring job is by glazing with overlay and multiply layers and I don't really like the way it looks. Oh well back to the drawing board...

If anyone has any tips or helpful advice about painting please fill me in. Thanks!

Another grayscale study. I may try one with color next.

A painting from life. This is all I could get done before the lighting changed. The colors are all wrong. I seem to have to much red in there. I tried and tried to analyze those clippers to find the right color but had no luck. If anyone sees anything colorwise that would help please feel free to say something. Thanks!
