    Lizardmen and amazon babes

This is some stuff from a side project for GW that I've been working on. Lately I've really been trying to play around more with light, hopefully it paid off.

I never got to finish this one, I probably should go back and put a little detail in the foreground figures.

    Great work !!

I really like the unfinished look on the environment. The figures look like scary ghosts.

Really nice Daarken. I think your lighting excercises are definitely paying off. Especially in the play between the foreground and the background.

These are really well rendered. I personally would prefer that the blacks were more black (basically just a higher contrast) but it works as is also

Of the three characters your scout and temple guard are somehow better than the warrior and I think it's down to the posing. All around really great renderings, the landscape is pretty good as is, all that's missing is a spaceship/dragon/giant fortress .

Beautiful work, stunning actually, but if you are looking to publish this personal project at some point I'd be careful of lizard warriors wearing Aztec style armor, as it treads pretty close to Warhammer Fantasy's Lizardmen Army.

nathan - actually, this is a side project for games workshop

hook, bruce, abenson, miketaylor, polydrawer, tgfx, sept13, neech, axel, jordan, darkside, fumble, nubb, thegrayslayer, mariusz, capprotti - thank you very much!

gump - i agree, i had a lot of trouble with the warrior. i changed it so many times.

macabre - lol. i dont think anyone has ever asked me to paint darker. im usually known for making my paintings too dark. the darks on my monitor are actually pretty black, but its hard to know what your image will look like on other peoples machines.

Seriously you can't get any more interesting than lizardmen and amazon babes. Reptilian humanoids and shapely human females... two of my favorite things. And very well rendered.

That Lizard Man has so muck ass-kickery I almost want to hide from the picture. I like the blue skin, and the skull helmet is really brutal looking.

I also like the landscape painting. You ever think of doing one of your videos on landscapes? Because that Liche Priest video was truly good stuff.

dude, thats soo sweet, and yes, the lighting paid of, think u went a little soft with it though.
the temple guard is awezome, really love it, especially since im a lizardman player in the tabeltop.
are there any plans on adding them in WAR btw?
