    Milky Way

Hello everyone. This is an acrylic piece that I am hoping to improve upon. The first is what it currently looks like in real life.

Here are two different versions with the milky way added in ps, the canvas added to at the right, and the girl's leg fixed more or less.

    Name: milky way work 2.jpg

Which of these two are better? How would you suggest keeping the hind legs from disappearing so much? There are still small things to fix in the girl (such as having no hand etc.) but As it is done analogue, major changes aren't going to be made at this point (although you can still tell me them for knowledge's sake), but any crits and advice are very welcome.

    Thank you very much.

    Milky

    Hello

I'll go for number two, as stylization fits in better with the look. As for the legs, if the cow is infront repaint to better define cows location.

Thank you very much for your opinion Mr. D. I'm kind of wondering if a mix of the two would end of being the best option. Hmmmm...... another Ps try is in order.

    why

    Hello again

The reason for #2 is that the rest of your painting has a whimsical or cartoony style to which #2 better fits. However I could see where you might find it too busy can could be toned back slightly so as not to conflict with the foreground images.

Good luck and post the final if you would.

Thanks again Mr. D. Actually, the reason I like number one is because I like the direction and the less direct path the milky way takes. I too prefer the curly style of the second much more. I think the main challenge is gong to be figuring out how to do this in acrylics!
