Wanted to do a caricature of Paul Ryan after seeing his trademark smirk.

I wanted to do another illustration with a werewolf character, but this time in more of a routine, everyday situation. This one was entirely done in photoshop--no 3D models were harmed in the making of this image!

An Illustration I did a few years ago.

Dragon was modeled first in Zbrush, then used as reference for the illustration.

Here are two images I did as promotional pieces for an independently developed video game for the Xbox Live Marketplace called "The Last Pod Fighter"

If you're interested, you can check out the game at the link below:
    http://marketplace.xbox.com/en-US/P...0856?cid=search

The creative team behind the Last podfighter needed some high resolution textures for space ships that they had already designed.

I took the ships into Mudbox and Zbrush in order to paint high resolution details which could then be backed onto the low resolution game models.

This illustration was one of two cover illustrations I did for use in promotional materials, etc.

Independent video game developers wanted me to come up with a 3D model which could be used in their game. The character was to be a creature that would inhabit caves which never received any light.

I did quite a bit of research into the types of creatures that occupy caverns where light doesn't reach. I did various sketches and let my clients choose some of the most important aspects they wanted to see developed.

Then I did a quick zbrush sculpt to make sure the concept worked in 3 dimensions.

After I got the "okay" from my clients, I went ahead and sculpted some fine details & colors. After that, I retopologized the model and baked the maps.

I did various sketches and let my clients choose several aspects they wanted to see developed.

It was very fun to work on 3D assets for a video game--more to come soon!

Modeled & rendered in passes with Zbrush.
Post processing and digital painting done in Photoshop.

I've been looking for a chance to use the new fibermesh features in Zbrush for a while now, but just haven't gotten around to exploring that until this week.

Did a sketch a while back that I wanted to revisit. The general idea I wanted to explore was that feeling when your mind is blown by a new idea or concept: mind = blown!

So my daughter received a toy rabbit when she was born (Thanks, grandma Beverly!), and it was her favorite stuffed animal . . . until it had to be retired. Since that tine, rabbits have held a special place in her heart (and consequently mine!).

This is an idea I have been playing with for quite a while. I really like the idea of the rabbit playing the role of protector . . . these bullies were teasing this girl, but they got more than they bargained for!

Characters designed through various sketches & refined in Zbrush. Maquettes were sculpted & posed in Zbrush, and rendered in passes. Post processing and digital painting done in Photoshop.

This doesn't happen often, but the other day I sketched an image of an old, fat super-man and an old, bent-over batman, and I actually laughed out loud. It felt a little weird, like laughing at one's own joke, but there you have it. For some reason, it tickled my funny bone enough that I wanted to explore the idea a little deeper.

So here it is: The Justice League of . . . the Retirement home!
