Cow hello, I'm new! come see my art...

Wow totally appalled by the orphan works bill...the owner of this site is a wonderful person for the nuts kick to the gov ahead of time!

Anyway, heres some of my art...you can see more at www.laurinfamous.com if you like! I was going to school in Grand Rapids, MI (public university) for the past 2 years and now I'm transferring to CCA in San Francisco - an actual art school, AHH! I'm so excited to see the contrasts. Anyone from here in the SF area?

I am a bit of a forum junkie (not as much as an art junkie) and I LOVE doing critiques and having my work critiqued, so I'm very excited to have found CA!

Ok, going to add my art now!

Ok probably enough for now...enjoy and I love constructive criticism (yes I know I draw too many animals....it's what I enjoy, I do like the challenge of drawing people but find animals more rewarding and interesting subjects....one of my goals this year is to draw more things that are not fluffy to broaden my artistic abilities)

Oops, should I have posted this in sketchbooks instead? Maybe a mod could move? Sorry!

    Your stuff looks awesome

If you ever get tired of CCA, I would suggest checking out the shrunken head man club at SJSU. No, I'm not there now, . .( got married and had a kid and now live in NY. . .) but I learned more there from an illustration minor then all the other classes for an art degree. If we ever moved back to CA, I'd finish the BFA illustration program there.

And the reason you're stuff looks great is it has the breath of life in it (as opposed to beautiful rendering over stiff drawings.) Not that I'm great at that myself, but I can see when it's missing or it's there!
