    Hi, Bjorn
Nice stuff, this one http://www.b-manart.com/Stuff/krus.jpg reminded me of japanese art, which i like a lot heh. Though some figures might use bit more flesh color tones imho

Try moving some hue from the background to ground her in the painting more. It looks cut and paste right now. Moving hue with bounce or reflected color really helps with the believability of realism. Great study though. I really like what you are doing in your book.

Yo B-man! Good studies. I think you need to think more about temperatures, since in your coloured pieces you tend to have a similar tone all over. Remember the reds, blues and purples!! Also, shadows and highlights have colour too, they don´t just go to black and white. All your edges are hard, and I think you could create better depth by softening some of them. Study hair man, some of your pieces are really suffering from you not doing hair a good presentation. Like in post 805 it looks like a pasted on clipart.

Your low opacity pen strokes are showing! I think you could create a better finish by blending them better, I can recommend a smooth soft airbrush for those finishing touches.

That´s what you get for befriending me on ca ;P Tough love man.

    Keep up the great job!

*oh, and that pixel boob lady is just awesome!

    Mr.Thorne - Thanks.

    Dana_T - Thanks

BlackDelphin - There is a DVD filled with lots of nice stuff ever issue. Get a copy next month. Thanks.

    Loathsome - Thanks mate!

Beelow - Thanks man, I need good constructive (do I spell that right?) crit. I agree with you, do you have some advise on how to think when adding skintones I kinda suck at skin and sourounding light and color. I am so very new to realism that I dont know really what Im doing. Thanks man. I'll be better.

Nutella - Again, I dont really understand whats wrong with it. Can you be more specific. Is it the angle ore does it just bug you ? Thanks.

kaktuzlime - Ahh thats the kind of friends I need. Some peeps to pull me back to earth and help me with my major flaws Im to blind to see from all the praise I've been getting lately. Thanks! Now theres 2 good crits in 2 days. Its good that you sync in with what Beelow is saying. Ill do some hair studies this instant. whoo needs sleep right?. Cheers mate! and thanks.

I did some movie study today. Fast studys. Guess the move. First price is a secret.

One thing about hair that people always say is to treat it as large masses instead of tiny individual strands.

Beautiful rendering! Skin tone is right on and I know you're learning a bunch from these!

And with the hair studies. Try to make it more simple and only detailed in the areas you want the eyes to look or that are focused. The more strands you put, it is just too much for the eye to handle. Simplify, then bring out the importan stuff. That's my motto.

    BlackDelphin - Thanks cristina.

    kingkostas - Thanks mate!

A speedy hair study. I wanted to find a more painterly feel on hair and beard. I think this is my best way to paint hair so far.
