    A PRINTMAKER! *TACKLE*

    Be my friend???

Is that drypoint on the monster? The lines are so velvety And the aquatint is lovely on the first image, very well handled. Are you using copper or zinc? How big are these?

(sorry, I'm just so excited to meet another printmaker --squee!)

really like those etchings man, very atmospheric. That one thing was awesome about my foundation year. They had an AMAZING print room, its so much fun .
Latest figure paintings are good too, with the last one it seems very cool all over. Maybe try and mix in some warm variety of tones in there too, like oranges and tans etc.
Looks very good though! Keep up the hard work.

thanks Thomas! the daily self-portraits i've had to stop for now but i hope to go back to those when i can get a chance. its well fun

    thanks fetsch! will do man!

lol kiwi yeh i like printing! course i be ur friend . on the monster one is an etching. using acid n stuff. for that one because alot of the lines are so close together i only left it in for an hour. thats what gives it the crisp line. the plates are a4 for both and there copper.

thanks andy! omg yeh the main thing im liking at uni so far is etching! soo awesome some of the marks you can make. I'm barely in the illustration studios atm, i just live in print all the time lol. and yeh i see what u mean on the figure. something i seem to do alot is make things cooler . the image i did the study of was alot warmer. will work on it, thanks man

quick update. a colour study and a wip for a piece im doing based on this text. was really hard to come up with an idea i was happy with and im not sure this is really saying the right things at the moment.

aah life drawing was cancelled due to no model so instead of wasting the day we drew each other. 5, 10 and one 20min poses. was good to draw clothing for a change tho. found it strangle harder. here's a few of them scanned.

Hey man. Really good life drawings. I find, and you might too, that the vertical figures look more expressive where the horizontal ones draws more attention to details but may not work as well as a whole. Might be some to consider, but nonetheless good exercises. Keep it up!
