try tons of different expressions on your self portraits. even if you can't hold it, take a pic of it and draw from photograph, then use yoru face for ref if you can't get detail from the pic.
as for sketchbooks, i love your little studies. that's waht we all need to do more. it teaches us so much that we don't get from photographic studies. also if you want to get into illustrations, try framing everything in yoru sketchbook. it will help you later on when you have to frame things in illustrations. you will be used to framing people and object from your sketchbooks! lovin the update goodness! go go go!

trip to deal last week was funny. sketching boats n stuff. life drawings.
also messed around with chow but not gona use this. gona do another which think would fit better.

hey alex, the latest pic is looking pretty sweet. Your selection of colours is pretty nice, kind of got a grimy feel to match those textures, make sure you keep that stuff. Just be sure to work in some darks in there!
My only crit might be that her torso isnt long enough, looks like she has a pretty small torso/hips compared to her head/shoulders - which look v good. Try dragging the hips down a touch and make em a little wider, unless your doing foreshortening which means you need to make sure it shows up!

thanks alexson, yeh know what you mean. will keep it in mind next time. they where just to get a quick idea for a character. will post it soon
some recent stuff. tried to make myself a simple graphic to sign things alittle better.
also my result for a speed paint for a club. heres the video. no sound at the moment. will get the mix they where doing on there soon. it was old school hiphop. which was wayyy out of my comfort zone for sure lol.
