try tons of different expressions on your self portraits. even if you can't hold it, take a pic of it and draw from photograph, then use yoru face for ref if you can't get detail from the pic.

as for sketchbooks, i love your little studies. that's waht we all need to do more. it teaches us so much that we don't get from photographic studies. also if you want to get into illustrations, try framing everything in yoru sketchbook. it will help you later on when you have to frame things in illustrations. you will be used to framing people and object from your sketchbooks! lovin the update goodness! go go go!

hey alex, the latest pic is looking pretty sweet. Your selection of colours is pretty nice, kind of got a grimy feel to match those textures, make sure you keep that stuff. Just be sure to work in some darks in there!
My only crit might be that her torso isnt long enough, looks like she has a pretty small torso/hips compared to her head/shoulders - which look v good. Try dragging the hips down a touch and make em a little wider, unless your doing foreshortening which means you need to make sure it shows up!

Keep up the good work dude!

Nice! These last concepts look a bit stiff tough, try some more fluid lines maybe. But I understand they are for cloth concepts. post mooore
