    Comic Book Inking References?

I am an aspiring comic book inker and have two questions:

    A) Where is a good source for penciled art (possibly in non-repro blue) on the internet for practicing inking?

    B) What is a good reference (possibly a video) for drawing a finely contoured ink line? I'm using a Winsor & Newton brush and Speedball nib pens.

    Thank you.

If you're serious about your work then you shouldn't mind paying for one of the beautiful workshop dvd's. They have one that's specifically for inking. It should help you quite a bit.

The best way to learn an inking technique is to copy from the masters. The beauty of ink is every artist has already shown you their technique. The key is developing your hand to do it.

Watch out: The greatest inkers out there retire young due to carpel tunnel. So be conservative in terms of hatching. It may be beautiful, but it will kill your wrist.
