Taking Randis's advice i darkened the image and added the other details in the paint over he did and i like how it turned out. i've never done an image this dark so it's a nice change, hopefully i'll be able to do it for future paintings.
I just submitted my entry about two minutes ago then realised there are no buttons on the girl's shirt, this is because earlier in the day we had a power as i was doing them & i hadn't saved. & ofcourse i forgot to do them before submiting, oh well atleast i managed to finish.

It seems with your latest environment you're rendering weach section to a finished stage, one at a time. I see how you've made it work, but really, you should try working on the entire image at the same time. Working on the entire image allows you to see the overall direction you are going, understanding lighting, colour and atmosphere. Your stages work, but i think youre making it harder on yourself with your current process. Though, the image looks cool.
DIDNT SEE THE FINAL: Looks awesome! With your next image, keep in mind what i said
ahem bigus_dickus lol, thanks for stopping by i started colouring with line art first & kinda got used to colouring piece by piece, guess i kinda got myself into a rut with that one. I'll definately take your advice & try it out on my current image
Just some few observations about the finished piece. The guard on the right in the chair doesn't look like he's actually in the chair. He looks like he's rigid and only his upper back and his upper thighs are against the chair. Also, the two main characters on not on the plane of the floor, it would appear. They look like they are floating, or at least their heels are. I would try to make their feet in the same plane and perspective as the floor plane.
Other than that, very good piece. It gives a great story and begs the question: "Who is that dude?"
Anyways, g'job. Keep them coming.
Osau thank you for stopping by i had hell trying to get that guard in the chair & in the end i just gave up, thanks to the deadline & all, and the perspective of the feet is completely off i have to say i suck at that, i started a sketchbook so here's hoping that i learn as much i have during this contest
