Gosh, I'd love to join (and I know the knowledge would really help me in my art), but since I'm currently lacking the funds to join, I'll have to sit it out : /

I hope you decide to do it again, and I hope it helps raise a lot of funds for the site updates!

According to my calculation it's a 13 hour time shift. So if I'm right it should be 2am Sunday. Jason said in his first post that it would be on 1pm CST and that's GMT-5. I hope I didn't made you confused...

    Question

I just found out about this class this morning. This is wonderful! I've started working on light, shade and shadow the past couple of weeks, so this would be very helpful.

I've e-mailed to request registration, but so far I haven't been able to find out where to go to pay for the class. Is there a link set up for payment yet? I'd really like to get everything taken care of today so I can just plug in and learn on Saturday!

Ooooh man, I think I'm going to have to sign up for this. Jason, I remember your color tips at Revelations being very useful, so I'm excited to take a full class with you! I'll work on some studies this week, will try to do them from memory, I think. Yikes!

As I have understood it, the US has daylight saving too. So technically it would not be Central Standard Time but Central Daylight Time (GMT -5). Central European Summer time is GMT +2 which would make a 7 hour difference. Correct me if I am wrong.

Maybe we should make a test to be sure. At 1 pm someone in the CST (well CDT actually) time zone makes a post saying: "It's now 1 pm". The rest of us will sit at the computer at the time we believe corresponds to this. If we do not see the post, we need to recalculate.

    Is that an idea?

I lucked up and got my paycheck. I'll have to be careful because I have a number of other things to handle, but I should be able to afford it.

I don't post very much, but I just want to say that the community on this site is overwhelming. Never have I seen so many people wanting to help, and inspire people to succeed. I'll be watching the stream!

I was just curious as to how long we should wait until we get a call from scooter@conceptart.org to pay the tuition up for this class?

I have family visiting, so I won't be able to make this class. I'd be very interested if you do it again, though.

    Hello Jason,

One of the pictures you have of Sargent is one of my favorite paintings. I'm working on a Master Copy of that very painting.

<a href=Jason Manley: Color and the Theory of Light - Closed" title="Jason Manley: Color and the Theory of Light - Closed" />

I have a hand injury that had been preventing me from finishing it, but I'd love to hear your lectures on Color theory, I'm just another artist who is learning. I love learning though, it's what makes me keep trying.

The price is really fair IMO, but I wasn't expecting the date to be announced so close to the class date. When you are one of two people in a company that can do your job...one week simply isn't enough notice to get a day off. Hopefully, if and when then next class comes around I will have my trainee ready and able to fill in for me. *crosses fingers*

Will this class be available as a download later on? I know I won't have the extra funds for a while to pay the fee.

    Question

Any word on where we go and when to pay for Saturday's class? I still haven't heard anything back since e-mailing scooter@massiveblack.com. The class can't be full if it's streaming, can it?

I'm seeing this asked a lot. If I'm not mistaken they are going to do another class on this and others with a new online school that they are trying to start up in about 6 months or so.

[o] :: in the earlier posts Jason said that its for all levels and everyone in every skill level will take something away from this lecture.

also, i am pretty sure that you will have access to the lecture so you can watch it over and over again if you attend the class (correct me if im wrong)

patiently waiting to pay for this lecture.......im actually really excited for this. I didnt have a very good color theory class at Syracuse but we did focus on lighting our models. granted our focus was to help illustrators create a sense of drama and or intrigue, yet it always turned out that the students, including my self, used lighting as an easy way to paint less and produce faster results. So i am really looking forward to wealth of information i am about to learn from this lecture

    thanks Jason!

I think you are supposed to send a mail to scooter@conceptart.org with the title "COLOR THEORY!" to sign up.

Alright I pulled together the skrilla and shot off that email. Hopefully I wasn't too late, since everything says Monday and its Wed already.
    Got the fingers crossed though.

    I just signed up, too.
I hoped to see a little test stream but I think I'll just have to take the risk
    Fingers crossed
