Freaking amazing!!!! Can't think of anything else so say. Do you by chance have any advise or tips for even not so young artists trying to get to where you are?

    Thanks

This is epic work Michael. Your adept attention to light/shadow, detail, posture, and etcetera is absolutely inspirational. You really take the time to truly observe something and reconstruct it appropriately. I thoroughly enjoyed these characters in Alice and you’ve definitely raised the bar in character design.

You were definitely in mind when I painted this character a while back. With much work, hopefully I’ll improve like you have over the years and have a chance to break into film as well.

Oh yeah, it was really cool to hear about your experiences in your sketchoholic interview.

    Cheers!

wow, youre clearly not just moving pixels around, this is digital painting as an art form in and of itself, saying nothing of the beautiful imagery! love the realism with the tell tails of the artist and painting w/ the brushstrokes still showing through. Truly masterfully created.... i salute your wacom ways.

So I revisited your thread, and wow! What nostalgia!

I loved it even more then the first time I saw it. The character designs are so well done, that its almost too much. I was looking at the backgrounds of the characters and they were all well done to the point of being fine art. I was impressed because I know for a fact you could of gotten away with making backgrounds 10 times worse, but you decided to keep the entire image Ace.

This resulted in probably the most detailed, fantastic and breathe taking character designs that are so good that it seems an insult to call them character designs only.

Do you use 3d software for any of these?
