    Liche Priest video tutorial

Hey everyone! I still lurk on the site but it has been a really long time since I actually posted any of my own work.

On my free time I've been working on putting together a video tutorial of the Liche Priest I painted for Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning. This is the first video tutorial I've done and hopefully it won't be the last.

The actual painting time for this piece was around 8 hours. The video is only 55 minutes long and is split into 8 parts.

Thanks for looking and I hope you enjoy it!

Really really really really good video tuturial.

Everything covered - his whole thought process and execution. Concept and character design, use of color, methodology, work ethic, workflow. Effective use of layers, brushes, tools, as well as a load of tricks. Also tips on making effective concept art for video games.
And he explains the reasoning behind everything he does. Clear and thorough.

One big treasure chest of information. I learned A LOT. I'd advice this to anyone.

    Thank you!

Worth every second of my time. I would have paid for this. It looks awesome and scary as well. I know I would focus fire on this guy if I met him in-game!

    Thanks for the video.

Nice stuff mate, how old are you? You look pretty young and that's cool that you're a concept artist from that assumption.

Just finished watchin and am blown away and inspired as hell. Thanx so much for taking the time to put this together. I've dabbled in video tutorials and editing so I can only imagine how much work this was. And it was worth every minute. Thanx again!

    thebullion24k - haha, thanks! i am 28. i started working at mythic when i was 26.
    gildorek - thanks!
cuervo - i am glad you found it helpful!
    aaro_n - thanks!
alex chow - i appreciate it! ive always tried to offer all of my tutorials for free, and i will probably continue to do so for quite some time. if i ever come out with an actual dvd ill probably have to charge for it.
anthis - wow, that is a great review. i really appreciate all of your kind words
zedkhov - i have a bunch of ideas for the next tutorials, so stay tuned
    daryl - no problem!
chane - yeah, i forgot to mention that in my tutorial. i actually never do any sketches or preliminary drawings. i always just kinda go for it.
napalm - thanks! yeah, there are so many great guys working there. i am glad to be a part of the team.
    darkside - thanks!
capprotti - haha. yeah i never realized how much time it would take to put this thing together. i think the first 8 minutes of audio took me 1.5 hours to record. i kept having to redo it because i would get all tongue tied or not know what to say, or my neighbors would make noise and i could hear it in the background. it was a lot of fun though, i am looking forward to making the next one.
