    Bouguereau study

Im on holidays so i wanted to do a little stilllife, because i really need to relax:

This is the setup for those who are interrested:

and this is the first WIP so far. i dont know if i should add something with different colors, because this has alot of yellowish tones and im afraid it will look horrible for outstanding people.

anyway here is the first WIP:

I can already see you've got great potential here.

The last one's colors are particulary nice. Maybe you could move the character slightly to the left so there wouldn't be so much empty space there. Otherwise I can't really crit you at this point. Keep up the good work.

I'm really liking the stuff you have here. Your color looks fine to me, so just concentrate on your drawing skills to help define those shapes a bit more. Other than that, keep painting and keep posting!

Hey qikalain thanx for checking out my SB in answer to your question about the bargue plate i did find it on the net somewhere but cant remember where!! I have been looking for the download also on my computer but cant seem to find it(i am really messy with everything) i will keep looking and send it your way when i find it. Back to your work in here i love it you have a really different style and your use of colours is amazing i think that if you studied your drawing skills as bad painter said up there you will definitely go a long way keep posting and i will be in touch as soon as i find the plate for you!

Hallo Qikalain, cool sketchbook so far! I like the Brainbug from #7 and your last post is awesome. To your "expressionistic" style: As far as I know the good expressionistic artists learn to work realistic first and then start to abstract, so with your still-lives and other studies you are on a good way! Try to render your anatomy-studies more, to really get the volume; thats where I have great trouble. [off topic: CA has a spell-checker now!?]

I'm noticing some good progress in here, so keep it up : ]
Only advice is to try to simplify things a bit, I notice that some of your work seems too busy / chaotic, though still good. Maybe that's just my opinion, but keep on drawing

Nice paintings! Really cool sketchbook so far.

I suppose no matter what I'm drawing, there will always be some sort of question in my mind about it. A work of art (even cartoon art) is never really finished; it is abandoned.
