I don't know why no-one has commented on these. I like them a lot. The color and composition are great. My only crit would be that I like the inking on page one and three more than on page two, where you are not blacking in your shadows as you do on the other pages.

Good work so far! Can't wait to see more!

    These are looking pretty good!

My only critique is that the first few pages look a lot better for having a second (shadow) tone in the coloring. You might want to think about adding that in on the subsequent pages--the use of subtle grey or blue tones to define shadows in the hospital sequence could really improve things.

    Pge 13

I did the hospital scenes without shadows to get a clear contrast to the "present" scenes. This was more important than good looks for me.

These are interesting; but the composition of your panels isn't very strong. It does not add to the story, unless the intention of your layout is for a simple and straightforward way to establish the information in your comic. I received maybe on of the best books when I was 13 years old. I didn't know what the hell it was at the time and was far too young to appreciate it. It was UNDERSTANDING COMICS by Scott McCloud. Most libraries have a copy or, but it was worth the investment. Check it out, for some amazing ways to improve not only the way you create a comic but how the medium truly works.

Hey Bluespot, you're perfectly right: Ansolutely nothing is happening here. Exept some street sign, dog fence or opal mine that catches your eye when you are passing through the desert around Coober Pedy. (By the way: "Making Comics" by the same author is still more inspiring.)
