more great sketches... you have great drawing skills. my only critique is when you draw facial features and eyes from imagination, they are sort of stylized. the eyelids are heavy and certain features of the face carry through to each drawing. i'm stuggling with the same problem. your life drawings are very strong. your application of anatomy from life to imaginative works is also very strong. but if you could bring your knowledge of facial features from life to imaginative works, there would be more variety of character in the concept sketches.
i like your line work and notetaking too.

I really enjoy your color studies. Have you ever tried painting with wet medium? (oils/acrylics) I'd like to see your results with those now that you have practiced in photoshop.

    Keep up the great work!

    blasian - thanks

flex - thanks man, and yeah, i know exactly what youre talking about. lately (in my recent sketches) i have started working to fix that problem, but around the time i did these sketches, i was more concerned with anatomy and not facial features. studying faces. ..for me, will probably take longer than most of the other anatomy, since i seem to have the most trouble making them look good

    angela - thanks

ink - good to see you stop by. i have used oils and acrylics, but that was a while ago. now that im more confident with color, i will definitely be trying some wet medium

dirob - thanks man. all the color studies took 1 hour each unless marked otherwise

aidan - thanks. no way im gonna stop

    update coming tonight

thanks angela. i learned how to draw my figures mostly through life and reference drawing, but i also studied (and study) anatomy, which helps a ton.

damn man, you're really bitch slappin those painter pieces (or PS... whatever they may be..)

and also as per usual, the drawings are gangster. the only ones i have issues with are the "no reference page, some of your facial features are out of proportion and it doesn't seem you wanted them to be that way. and the zip drive really flattens out when it comes to the line drawing parts of it. but other than those 2 i really don't see anything that i'm not oogling over, so hats off to you chum, cant wait to see the next batch,

    peace man,

    ryan
