thanks AJ n the rest man!!

but if i wld to recommend one DJ, that would be Trentmoller
really dig his works. sorry they aren't free, but hey, his works worth every penny

another one is Helios. his works r really mediative, helps me relax amidst the morning rush hour

sometimes, just sometimes.... i will listen to Bjork when drawing female characters. i have to say, up till Vespertine, her later works don't excite me anymore..

Used some of their music in this video. Sometimes dark but very relaxing. They have a fun podcast as well: "Tea with Hungry Lucy"

This is great too. The artist is named "Brad Sucks!" but I think he's being just a little too hard on himself. ;P http://www.jamendo.com/en/album/31187

Not sure if anybody likes this kind of stuff except for me, buuut..

Machinae Supremacy is a metal/alternative rock band from Sweden. They use chiptunes in their music, and they're a pretty unique sounding band. Their vocalist has a pretty funky voice, but once you get over that, it's not too bad.

A lot of their music is up for download. However, for their best stuff you'd have to buy their CD's (of course).

Hey, this is a great thread.

Im always on the look out for new sounds as they influence my energetic flows and shimmers throughout the day.. talk about survival techniques... good music gives me power!

So, I took a quick scoot through all the posts and did not see what I'm about to share, BUT if I've missed something ...cut me some slack!

I'm based in the UK and over the past few years have been checking into...

    ELECTRONIC EXPLORATIONS by Rob Booth.

    http://electronicexplorations.org/

Every week or so he uploads a FREE 90 min show which has nuzzled within a mix by an artist. Just a quick estimate from all 117 shows.. thats 10530 hours of free music all in the genre of electronic/idm/ambient/dub step/grime/jungle etc etc

There are so many great unreleased artists on there, and i really cant recommend it enough.

Go check out the shows, download them all, use a cue splitter to separate tracks you like, bass and beats will take over your Wacom tab!!

    http://electronicexplorations.org/

Just scroll down to see all the shows listed

Here's another amazing free one. Both are ambient/post-rock by French one man band RQTN. Both are unbelievable, as in much likely better than anything else in this thread...

    Monolithes En Mouvement (2009)

    RQTN EP (2008 )

His new album is amazing as well.

Excellent cybergrind mixed with ambient/post rock. The Invasion Discography is more straight cybergrind but the others are pretty cosmic. Two more albums are on his Myspace.
